The apartment comes with Internet access, a small tv w Roku box, modern kitchen and bathroom, multiple parking spaces and has a private entrance. It's nestled in a nice quiet neighborhood with glimpses of the lake. Though modernized, it still retains a rustic cabin feel. It's in walking distance from the famous Tudor House with live entertainment and food. Enjoy beautiful walks surrounded by trees, drive to the village, lake and favorite local shopping and restaurants. All just 5 minutes away.
The kitchen has a toaster, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator and electric stove. There are dishes, pans, cooking utensils, cutting boards and so forth. No oven. The bed is a full sized bed and it now has a new mattress and box spring! There is a fold out couch so if you have kids, send me an email. I know it's hard to afford to travel with kids, I have one. I know most of the neighbors now, they are all very nice. It's a nice quiet neighborhood. There are lots of trees. The space is often referred to by renters as being cozy and quaint, a nice get away from the city.
I will send entry information after you book your dates on the day before your arrival. There's a patio with table and chairs.
Interaction with guests
I'll be on and off the property while you visit. Say hi if you like. I'll do my best to respect your privacy but if you want to chat I'll do that as well. If you need anything while you are there just let me know. Feel free to reach out any time before or during your stay. I'm happy to help out in any way possible.
Other things to note
We have a relatively long driveway but like most houses in the mountains, parking is limited and it is tandem. When I'm able, I will park at the neighbors house or stay parked so you can come and go as you like. Drive carefully, use your mirrors. Oversized cars might be an issue as there is no street parking.
Keep the weather in mind! In the winter, when it rains it sometimes snows. Bring chains for your tires and bring a shovel for your car. Check Caltrans for road conditions and make sure you are prepared. If you are concerned about traveling in the snow, plan your trip at a different time of year. We do not do snow or weather refunds. During your stay I can direct you to a broom, snow shovel and a few other odds and ends if you need them.
Some questions I've been asked:
I don't know anything about local fishing so please do your research. Same goes with boats.
There are multiple lakes in the area. Some may have restrictions while others may not.
While this neighborhood is almost always quiet (99% of the time) I can't guarantee that it will be during your stay. There are houses nearby and I can't control what goes on inside them. I can however reach out to the owners if you tell me which house and what's going on. So please if you end up in the 1% do reach out to me so I can try to resolve the problem.
Available dates, please check the calendar for available dates. I keep this current. If it's open and you want to book it, request a booking.
Power outages sometimes happen in the mountains as do road closures. Sometimes it's due to weather conditions, sometimes it's a tree that's gone down. We do not do refunds for conditions that are out of our control. I will do whatever I can to make your stay more pleasant during these situations and keep you posted with updated info as I know it.
Please notify me if you need access to the fold out couch. I will provide you with info on where to locate extra sheets and blankets. Also please note that the fold out is a bit older and is probably better for kids than adults. We've had some adults sleep on it and they were fine but if you have a bad back this might not be the best option for you. Perhaps you call dibs on the bed!
Please check in with me if you have additional guest, ie kids. Generally this is better for 2 adults and kids but I've opened it up to 3 as a test run. I had a max of 2 guests but will work it out if I can.
Absolutely no smoking of any kind whatsoever anywhere in or on the property. We are in fire country. Please respect this rule.
