For the adventurous selective traveler who loves camping but wants to "glamp" instead: super comfy 12x12 heated bedroom/living space with endless wilderness views. Provided (up to King) mattress and linens. I call it the "Lighthouse". Outdoor hot shower, outhouse, outdoor full kitchen, hammock, campfire and our company! Off grid!

The space

A few things that make my place unique:
My 5 acres is part of the famous 600 acre Kilcher Homestead, as seen on Alaska the Last Frontier. I am the 7th of the 8 children; Atz and Otto are my brothers.
There is a special feeling here vibrating in the land, and why our parents picked this spot.

Full outdoor kitchen with all you need to cook and wash up; BBQ, hotplate, pure drinking water, spices, pots/pans/dishes etc.

Outdoor hot shower and outhouse with great views!

The atmosphere feels so pure, so silent, so wild yet comfortable. Drive-in access and no issues with mosquitos!!!

You get to meet me and maybe other family members as you cruise around.

If you stay a week or more, we will do a mid-week vacuum and dusting for you. Plus there's the 10% weekly discount.

Homer is 25 minutes away, with oodles of things to do there: great restaurants, a lap pool, fun shopping, etc
We have quite good cell reception here.

Lots of options to enjoy your stay...

Here are my other listings all on my Kilcher Homestead property called "Miracle Meadow":

Guest access

Access to outdoor hot shower, outdoor kitchen including use of dishware, spices and other cooking items, outhouse, picnic table, campfire, pond area, 10 minute walk to beach, berries if in season, endless walks in all directions, relaxing pristine feeling.

The outdoor kitchen has running water.
Please note that we are "off the grid", which means no electricity or wifi. That's in town! Or up at our Homestead cabin we have wifi. We provide optional heat for this unit.

Endless walks on beach, private tours of Kilcher homestead, meet the Kilchers, meet Nature.

Interaction with guests

I interact with guests as little or much as they want, because I live here in my yurt. So depending on what project I am working on, they would see me more or less.

I am happy to answer all questions and be a great host, resource and friend.

Other things to note

Come experience this little piece of Heaven on Earth! If you have ever liked camping because it puts you in touch with Nature - come here and be comfy while you bathe in Nature's blessings! No need for hardship: comfy mattress is provided, hot outdoor shower, full outdoor kitchen AND a lovely 12x12 living space! AND no mosquito issues here!
And maybe watch a movie with us while we turn on our generator.
Also a chance for you to unplug and get off your devices!

This is our commonly owned 600 acre Kilcher Homestead, as seen on the hit reality TV show Alaska the Last Frontier. I have 5 acres which I share with select guests such as you: I don't accept just "anyone" into my meadow which I aptly named "Miracle Meadow". The purity of Nature in this spot is palpable and transformative. And because I only have two guest houses, you have your own quiet retreat experience, while able to venture into the "huge" town of Homer (pop 4000!) to go dine gourmet, explore the famous Homer Spit, hike across the Bay and much more to entertain yourself.

What an amazing place! We ended up staying in Mike and Stellavera's yurt the first night, followed by the Lighthouse for our second night. Both were awesome—their whole place is pretty magical. Loved their outdoor kitchen, the views from their outdoor shower, and having such welcoming, kind hosts was the cherry on top. Being in the Lighthouse for a rainstorm was the perfect way to end our stay. We were both sad to leave and will definitely be back again someday!

This homestead is amazing. Anyone would be fortunate to have an opportunity to stay here. Stellavera & Mike are amazing hosts and excellent communicators. This is definitely off the beaten path, but then again, why else would you come to Alaska? It is a breathtaking experience and I couldn't recommend this place more.

If I could give this experience 10 stars I would! Mike greeted me, gave me local information, showed me all the ropes and answered any questions. Stellevera wasn't physically there, but she kept in touch daily with suggestions or ideas of things to do and made sure I had everything I needed. Hands down, this was the best experience I've had through AirBnB! Many thanks to some amazing hosts and a special place on Earth!

The Kilcher's were everything and beyond when imagining gracious hosts! They were incredibly communicative, from texting us precise directions to making sure we understood every gadget provided for our comfort. They made the lighthouse into a cozy (heated) camp space, just a quick walk away from the outdoor kitchen and outhouse (which were offered up to us for unlimited use). The farm was stunning, with incredible views of the mountains and access to the beach. It felt as if we were on our own piece of Homer, especially when down Walking along the shore! There wasn't a soul to be seen! My husband and I spent hours walking on the beach trolling for shells, explored the farm, hiked, and were even offered a meal from our hosts! Unfortunately we had to cut our visit short, but that won't be the last they see from us! Thank you again for your hospitality and we will see you sometime soon! :)

It was a wonderful experience. Stellavera checked on us to make sure we knew how to get there, we had the proper provisions once we were there and she was a great hostess. She also provided us with tips on what to do in the area off of the homestead and she treated us to a couple of beautiful songs she wrote while we all sat on the porch overlooking the bay. Bonus: we had a momma and 2 baby moose who hung out in the meadow above the lighthouse while we were there. It was an overall wonderful expierence. Drinking coffee on crisp mornings on the deck and the outdoor shower overlooking the bay were 2 of my favorite parts of the trip. Thanks for having us!

I was born and raised in Alaska, and a singer songwriter like my niece Jewel; my family has the hit reality show called Alaska the Last Frontier on Discovery channel.
My husband Michael has been a dentist for 40 years, and is a Maharishi Ayurvedic health consultant, and gives consultations at a site called DentalSecondOpinion

We both are Certified teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Technique, and also enjoy the outdoors, beauty and staying healthy. And we care about being great hosts to you, and sharing our love of Nature with you, together caring for our beautiful planet in this neck of the woods called Homer, Alaska on the Kilcher Homestead!
