We offer four small flats in a renovated ancient town house, for singles, couples, or a family with a child.
This flat looks out of the old medieval wall. As Talarn is a walled town sited defensively on a rock controlling the valley below, the wall has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and mountains in the distance. It is a studio with a large space including the kitchen, dining space, living area, double bed (with the possibility of adding an extra bed), a clothes cupboard. It also contains a complete bathroom with a washing machine. For 4 days stays or longer we offer free linen and towels (see house rules). It has a large terrace with incredible views. Renovated wooden beams grace the ceilings.
All the flats have parquet flooring. The refurbishment was finished in 2013 so all the electric installations are current, including the inter-phone, and TV and radio aerials.
Nearby there are two excellent restaurants and bars offering traditional gastronomy.
Talarn, an old walled town, is situated in the heart of Pallars Jussà region, where one can partake of multiple outdoor activities. For those who like sport there are hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayak, climbing, speleology, rafting, fishing, hunting and picking mushrooms. For the nature watchers there are the birds, chamois, roe deer, and stags with their characteristic mating bellows. A drive of five minutes gets you to the Sant Antoni reservoir where swimming and numerous aquatic activities are available, and the Sant Maurici i Aigüestortes National Park is just one hour away.
The region also offers many cultural and leisure activities. Wine can be tasted when visiting the prestigious vineyards of Castell d'Encús, García Muret, Sauvella and Vilacorona. The castles of Mur, Llorda, Orcau and St. Gervàs, as well as the romanic churches of Llimiana, Abella de la Conca, and Covet are well worth a visit as is the classified cultural patrimony of Boí Taüll. Take a train ride that follows the course of the Noguera river and lakes. Don't miss the guided tour of Salàs de Pallars and its ancient shops, including a grocer’s, a barber and a chemist. Look through the very modern telescope at the observatory in the Montsec. There is much more to do!
* No pets allowed (if they're very well educated you may ask us to accept them).
* Linen and towels:
- Longer than 3 days stays: provided for free
- 2 days stays: 13 € for 2 people, 20 € for 3 or 4 people. In fact we prefer you to bring your own stuff. There is a duvet in winter time (so no need to bring other things than towels, sheets and pillow cases) and a quilt in summer time.
*** Please respect our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum between 11:00 pm and 9:00 am. And try not to be too noisy during the daytime too!
