what a delightfully magical place this is! I enjoyed two sundowns on the deck, an afternoon with the cows, and a perfect sauna after a 15 mile hike at Cape Perpetua. Barbara was a lovely host - we shared a nice chat about the area before she showed me to the cabin. the cabin was stocked with all the essentials and then some (the candle and lotion were much appreciated). I will definitely be back in the future!

Barbara’s cabin was tranquil, quiet and perfect for a getaway. There is a creek one can swim in with a beautiful deck to sit back and enjoy nature. The outhouse has a view that rivals any indoor bathroom. The bed is super comfy and the wifi has excellent reception. We recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking to escape the noise and bustle of the city.

We had a lovely time. The cabin was clean and modern. The natural beauty of the surrounding land is astounding. Hosts also provided a grill and propane--made cooking a breeze. Bed is new and very comfortable. Easy to find. Alsea Falls and Green Peak falls just a few miles down the road. Totally worth it and will return!

This is a stunningly beautiful property. The night sky is something that is wondrous to behold. Barb was a lovely hostess, very helpful with local tips and information. The description and photos of the bathroom facilities is accurate - the bathroom is probably the most gorgeous outhouse on earth, but it is an outhouse, so if a two minute walk to a three sided structure (the open side looks out to a magnificent river - really awe inspiring) doesn't suit your needs, give it some thought. Other than that one caveat, it was a wonderful stay.

A truly beautiful and relaxing location. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay- including strong internet and being able to cook meals. The fold-up bed was comfortable and folding it up made the space plenty spacious. We ate all of our meals on the awesome river deck and enjoyed watching birds and we even saw a beaver! Barbara and Steve were really great hosts- a wealth of helpful information. We would excitedly stay there again!

This guesthouse was beautiful, on a river and very serene and peaceful. It's a lovely valley, the hosts were incredible friendly and helpful. The sauna is amazing. I would highly recommend this place if you are seeking retreat or a place in nature.

I love to stay at our beach house south of Yachats! I hope you like it too.
I am an avid cyclist who enjoys touring all over Oregon. My husband and I live on a 40 acre farm in Alsea where we raise grass feed beef. My favorite activities include hanging out with my grown kids and grand kids, gardening, studying and cooking.
