We had a very comfortable stay with Kevin & Lesley who were extremely accomodating ensuring we had everything we needed and more. Breakfast was more than satisfactory with a full spread of various choices from fruit & yogurt to croissants and/or cereal. Area is lovely as is most of Derbyshire, very close to both stunning scenery and a few larger towns such as Wirksworth, Ashbourne and Uttoxeter (try The White Hart Hotel for a nice meal & surroundings). Highly recommend and will certainly be back again!

Kevin and Lesley were great hosts and were very accommodating. The room itself was nice and the house in general was lovely. The addition of breakfast in the morning was a great touch and set us up for our busy days exploring what the Peak District has to offer. The location is close to Ashbourne and within walking distance to a great country pub. Would definitely recommend.

As other reviews state, we also had issues with WiFi. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but we also had no phone signal, so we were reliant on WiFi for making phone calls, sending texts whilst there. I understand the house is old and thick walls can hinder performance, but methods exist to resolve that. Otherwise we had a lovely stay and breakfast was lovely.

Response from Kevin:
Hi Daniel, as we tell all our guests you are more than welcome to use the landline for any calls if you cannot get a mobile signal. We are aware you had a problem with connecting to our wifi but are not sure why as we were all connected at the time. Some guests have issues connecting past the lounge but we did explain that to you on arrival. Stone walls are stone wall, many areas sadly in and around the peak district have poor mobile coverage - annoying for us also as we pay the same tariff as folks who get an excellent service all the time! Glad you enjoyed your stay and we were able to accommodate you in all other ways. Kind regards Lesley & Kevin

Kevin and Lesley were lovely hosts and their home was too. We were a trn minute drive from alton towers, but the wifi connection didn't reach some parts of the house such as the bedroom

Lovely spacious house and friendly welcoming hosts. It was just what we wanted. Good recomendations from hosts for eating and walks. Mobile reception (for Three and O2) was non-existent, but that seems to be true for a lot of the local area.
