The cottage sits up on the bank overlooking the lake in the dappled shade of hundred-year-old oak trees; the property includes 150 feet of private waterfront and furnishes exquisite views of the lake and spectacular sunsets. It is beautifully decorated and fully furnished, with a large living and dining area as well as 2 bedrooms sleeping a total of 4, a bathroom with shower, and a spacious kitchen. The large screened-in porch is ideal for enjoying a lake-view meal or a peaceful afternoon nap. PREFERENCE IS GIVEN TO WEEKLY RENTALS IN HIGH SEASON. This secluded cottage was much more than the photo shows with beautiful antique furniture and gorgeous art and quirky crafts. Our bed was comfy and the views of the lake were lovely. We sat outside with a fire "pit" both nights and watched the sun set with our Barbecue dinner. Rosemary provided us with everything you could want including wine, bagels, butter, milk, eggs and the usual condiments. I highly recommend this gorgeous place on Seneca Lake :)

We spent our honeymoon here and it was amazing! The house was perfect and full of anything we needed. The host was next door in case we needed anything. We will definitely be coming back for years to come!

Rosemary was very welcoming! The cottage was exactly as described and pictured - it had a charm and coziness about it. There were lots of windows and a beautiful breeze. We spent a lot of time on the screened porch! Kitchen was fully equipped and well-organized. We rented kayaks, visited Watkins Glen state park gorge and falls, went to a couple of wineries and also a brewery. But we mostly wanted to hang out at the cottage and lake. Spectacular sunsets. We used the fire pit on the beach too.

Rosemary and her husband were very welcoming! As soon as we got there they showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was perfect, right on the lake and a ten minute drive to the wineries and restaurants. I would recommend this listing.

My husband and I spend our summers here at our cottage on Seneca Lake, and we rent the out the old family cottage next door until the kids are ready to take it over. Jim grew up here in Lodi, and we've lived in various places in the US and Canada, including 20 years spent in St. John's, Newfoundland, before ending up here in the summer and in Ottawa in the winter. Best of both worlds!
