I've removed the summary and description until I'm ready to take bookings again following Hurricane MARIA. See below to find out more.
Hurricane Maria struck Dominica 18 - 19 September 2017. It damaged 85% of the houses all over the country. Power, water, all communications were knocked out. Many people died. Two months later I've nearly fixed our roof, we still have no mains power or water. I've blocked my calendar until the end of April 2018. By then my house and pool will be as before, and the roads all over the island will be usable. Many countries sent aid, many individuals who know the island have sent contributions, (including some of my guests). Dominicans have had a hard time, which will continue until next Spring, when the clean-up will be complete, services restored, there will be fruit on the trees and everyone, locals and tourists, will be able to enjoy the magic of the Nature Island once again. We hope, we really hope, you will come and stay. The island needs you.
Guests can use all of the house in June, July, August, September, October November and December. I will be in the house from early January until June, in my own, separate accommodation. This means that from January until June 2018 there will be only 2 bedrooms for 5 guests.
Interaction with guests
There's always someone around in their own separate accommodation to give help and information. And from January 2018 I'm around and happy to help and organise.
Full rubbish bags should be taken as soon as possible to the bins on the main road, at the end of the Gommier access road. Full bags may be left for a short time in the black bin by the back terrace, which MUST be placed inside the dog gates at night or when leaving the house.
At the end of your stay, please place all rubbish in bin-bags and take them to the bins on the main road
Towels and sheets must be placed next to the washing machine at the end of your stay.
