Amazing hosts, so helpful and accommodating. Accommodation was lovely, and the location was perfect, right near the main centre. Definitely recommend.

Great place with solid room, A/C, bathroom, shower, bed, and security. The WiFi was quite weak and the location just a bit from the action, but I was happy and I hope to stay there again. Rattana was helpful at check-in and check-out, but has business, so is busy with the restaurant. Her son helped and he was sweet. Thanks!

Great place to stay at in Vientiane, as its right along the river front of Mekong Delta and conveniently located to restaurants and the night market. Room was clean and spacious, and the host was very helpful with any enquiries we had. We would highly recommend to other travellers

I stayed 2 weeks for professional reason. Good points: Large and pleasant room (this is a real plus), very entertaining hosts, restaurant (Rattana restaurant is actually not bad, had a few meals), possibility to rent 2 bikes (need a bit of maintenance but still fine) for same price as in town but all done at the same place. (can be really) Bad Point: 1 (only) night the music was so loud till 1 o’clock that we just could not sleep and we would have appreciated to be informed before or to have an apology next morning specially when I explained why I had a headache. Anyway, appreciated the late check out so that we could take our luggage and have a quick shower before taking a night bus. Anyway, all fine.

Rattana, and her husband, Peter, have a lovely place to offer for any traveler. The room was huge, clean, and well maintained in a restored French villa. It has a wonderful air conditioner too. We stayed in room #2, facing the street and Mekong River and directly across from the second floor outdoor patio where we had coffee in the morning. The location is perfect as it is but a two minute walk to a local coffee shop next door to the fun Spirit House, a five minute walk to the bustling night market right down the street, and another 5-10 minutes to walk into the central district from there where shops, restaurants, and bars all await. There are restaurants, including Smile Dee, set up along the sidewalk next to the river and a lovely bar called the Laodi, two shipping containers stacked on top of one another, that offers beautiful views of the Mekong at sunset and tasty liters of Beer Lao with excellent service. Laodi is between Rattana and Peter's place and the huge night market next to the river. There are some tuk tuks waiting on the street to be hired for transportation or you can do like we did and either walk everywhere or rent the two sturdy beach comber like bikes from Rattana and Peter. Walking is easy is Vientiane but cycling is even more fun. The bikes were great finds as we roamed all over the city exploring. Vientiane is an easy place to bike around. The drivers are aware and gracious to cyclists in the city. We even road west, away from the city, along the Mekong as the road turned from concrete to hard clay. The views of the river were spectacular. I highly recommend renting the bikes (they are 10,000 kip or ~ $1.25 USD per bike). access to downtown Vientiane is a lovely city and Rattana and Peter are perfect hosts. Their guesthouse is perfectly located for views of the river, food, drink, the night market, and easy access to downtown Vientiane. I recommend you stay at their place.
