It is a very convenient, cozy and safe place. We buy something from market or supermarket and cooking uasually. We had a wonderful time here because it has a homely feel. We really love it.

Apartment was exactly as described. In a gem of a location - not too touristy, with many options for cafe's and restaurants nearby. Plus perfect location for getting anywhere in Paris. Berit was flexible and provided some really useful local information.

47 little steps on a winding staircase take you up to this little gem of an apartment located in the most charming area of Paris, the St Germain de Pres . It is a bright place with four big windows looking out to Luxemburg Garden and the Senat. Equipped with a small kitchenette , a dishwasher and washing machine and a bed couch that is very comfortable!! The bathroom has a small shower with amazing water pressure. Also you are surrounded by a bunch of excellent little neighborhoods restaurants. What more could you ask for!!

We loved the location and "look and feel" of this place on the south side of the St. Germain neighborhood. Everything was clean and well maintained, and Berit, the property manager, was very responsive and helpful (for example, when we mistook a 9 for a "g" on the wi-fi password). For those looking for a great place to leave from and come home to when visiting Paris, this is a great find. Walking distance to some excellent cafes (5-10 minutes), and the main center of the city (Notre Dame within 15-20 minutes). Or the metro is close as well. The apartment is across the street from the Senate and Luxembourg Gardens. The street is a little busy in the mornings, but the room is high up enough and the windows seal to keep out the sound if you want to sleep in. Be ready to lug your suitcase up a tall spiral staircase. The five windows with multiple views were a big plus--we hadn't seen this feature on many other alternatives at this price range. The fold-out bed was comfortable--no bars in your back. They had two fitted sheets and no top sheet, so we had to use a fitted sheet in between us and the comforter. Maybe something to check on before you arrive. The bathroom was small but updated, with the classic French "no doors" approach to the shower. They had a full kitchen (which we didn't make use of). All-in-all, a great experience and a comfortable place from which to see the city. We would seriously consider returning if we visited again.

We loved our 10-night stay at Berit's charming apartment by the Jardin du Luxembourg, the perfect location for a Paris stay. We have been to Paris several times and always try to stay in this safe, central neighborhood. Berit met us at the apartment to give us all the necessary details. A typically French spiral staircase led us the 47 steps to this gem of an apartment. (We are both over 50 and had no trouble with the stairs.) The lovely windows (French charm!) provide light and a welcome breeze. The neighbors here were exceptionally quiet, which is not always the case in Paris. We picked up pain au chocolat from G. Mulot and provisions from local markets for picnics and dinners "chez nous." Almost every day we spent some time in the Jardin du Luxembourg--our favorite place in Paris. We used the nearby bus and metro (Saint Sulpice or Mabillion) to get anywhere we wanted to go. We hope to return!
