Argoed Barns is perfect for couples who want to get away from it all, to relax and recharge their batteries amongst beautiful scenery. There is something for everyone, from the adventurous outward bounder to the laid back lounger, whatever the time of year. The accommodation is flexible to enable up to five guests to stay in a combination of superking and/or twin beds.
In the summer you can relax on the decking with a chilled glass of wine and watch the sun go down and the stars come out (we are a Dark Sky Reserve after all). In the winter you can return from a day on the hills, have a long soak in the bath and then snuggle up in front of the log burning stove with a mug of cocoa and a good book, watch your favourite film or play a board game. Bliss!
Guests are welcome to stroll around the grounds although The Byre has its own, obvious private area including decking. Cyclists are very welcome to store their bikes in the big barn where they will also be able to carry out general maintenance.
Interaction with guests
We are more than happy to give advice on all aspects of your stay: places to visit in the area, suitable walks, cycle rides, outdoor activities, indoor experiences (e.g. on wet days) etc. We can also recommend great places to eat.
Other things to note
Just about the only downside of rural living is the exorbitant cost we pay for a very slow internet. This means that it is not suitable for those who were intending to work during their stay. It is fine for checking emails but we kindly request that guests refrain from downloading large documents or streaming. After all, you're coming to relax and unwind...
Only dogs allowed by prior arrangement and on the understanding that they are not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms.
All damages must be paid for.
Arrival after 3pm; Departure by 11am
