We arrived at the same time as a wedding party was about to kick off, which caused a little confusion initially. However, we were given a bottle of Dario's wine as a welcome gift and shown to our accommodation.
The flat itself is spacious and seemed to fit the description. Unfortunately the kitchen area was very disappointing. It is described as a full kitchen, however, there is no oven, grill, or toaster, which, as we had chosen such a place with the intention of buying local food and preparing our own meals, did limit our cooking plans. The hob/stove had three gas rings which were scary to light. While the flat seemed clean and tidy, the kitchen utensils were not clean and we had to wash off a thin layer of grease that was on almost everything. I suspect the reason that they weren't properly cleaned was something to do with the hot water problems. There was no hot water when we arrived and a message to Maria got it turned on fairly quickly. On our last evening however, the water went off again there was no response until the next morning after we'd washed in cold water then packed up and were ready to leave.
Aside from these disappointing and fixable issues, Dario and Maria are nice, friendly people. We were given an interesting tour of the winery and enjoyed the wine that he produces. The location between a lot of interesting places - Reggio, Modena, Maranello, and more is useful but does involve quite a lot of driving.
If the water and kitchen situation can be improved, I'd recommend staying at Villa Castellazzo.
