I think I was the first to book this apartment from Dallas. Although this place could be a real hit, there were some kinks that made the stay a little inconvenient.
1: Upon arrival, Dallas said that the keys and parking pass were on the tv. The parking pass wasn't there so I texted him and he said to check the drawer. Still not there. So I called and he said he would talk to management to get me one. Luckily, I had a dinner to run to so I didn't have to park right away. I got back from dinner, and there still wasn't a parking pass. I called again and then management dropped the pass off for me.
2: There actually wasn't any wifi. I texted Dallas and he said to connect to att:connect or something like that, but it was unable to connect on anyone's device. I think it might have been the whole apartment complex wifi. I texted Dallas and he said he would call maintenance, but never got back to me. We had to hotspot in order for us to play music.
3: This is a much older unit which explains a lot. There were holes in the ground in between the kitchen and dining space that was kind of creepy. I think Dallas didn't take pictures of the kitchen for a reason, it's old. There was a very strong odor from the apartment that reeked of like paint fumes and mildew. Dallas really tried to jazz up the place with nice furniture though!
4: I told Dallas we wanted to book the place for a friends surprise birthday with around 10 people. Surprise, we did get a noise complaint from management who lived upstairs, so we definitely quieted down and left for uptown before anything else happened!
5: The sleeping situation was a little awkward because Dallas told me he hired maids to come at 8 am thinking we would be gone the night before. Although, initially I thought no one was going to sleep here, we still paid for the night meaning it was odd to assume we'd be gone. I told him we would be out by 11 am the next day. He was accommodating and said he would book the maids for 11 am.
Overall, Dallas was helpful when he could be and answered my texts whenever I had any questions. But in all honesty, they were questions that should have been answered!
