Comfortable bed, quiet, sunny room overlooking my garden and the conservation land behind the house. You might look down and see a beaver, rabbits, a possum or deer!

The house is a convenient place to stay for those wanting to be close to Babson, Olin or Wellesley Colleges--Mount Ida is not far--and the train to Boston is three blocks from the house.

Parking available for one or two cars on my driveway.

The space

This listing is for a bedroom with a queen bed, overlooking conservation land with big windows and lots of sun, which has a bathroom that can be private (if adjacent twin bedroom is not rented) or shared (if it is).

The twin bedroom is currently not listed for rent, but if you need the extra bedroom, please let me know and we can work it out. Following is a description of all the available rooms in my big house, but each bedroom is listed separately.

Have available 2 sunny bedrooms next to each other, one w/ queen, other w/ twin, sharing full bath. Also have downstairs suite with bedroom, private bath, kitchenette and big room opening to garden. Rent one-three bedrooms. Walk to train going to Boston. Price depends on number of rooms rented.

Lots of privacy, whether in the upstairs rooms (the twin room or the queen) or in the downstairs suite of rooms, even though there is no private entrance. You will be at the other end of the house from the host. Some rooms overlook the conservation forest behind the house. It's easy to walk to the commuter rail or up to Highland Ave, where you find Starbucks, Trader Joe, restaurants, bank and the bus to the Green Line. There is also parking available on my driveway.

Guests in the downstairs suite have several rooms to themselves--bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and family room. Guests in the bedrooms upstairs have a bathroom to themselves and are welcome to sit in my library/den, where I have my TV. If the downstairs suite is not rented, they are free to use the big downstairs family room with TV/DVD player.

My own life is busy, but I am happy to share some tea and conversation and to tell guests anything they need to know about the Boston area. I've lived here for thirty years and am very enthusiastic about metro Boston.

I live in a totally safe neighborhood, and I love the fact that the commuter rail is only three blocks away, as well as the bus to the Green Line and amenities like Trader Joe, Starbucks, restaurants, bank, CVS, and so on. I am thrilled to be backing onto conservation land--forested--full of geese and bluebirds.

Needham is ideally located for exploring the city of Boston, rural towns and many historic towns, such as Concord and Lincoln, to the west of Needham.

The commuter rail into Boston is 3 blocks away, as is the bus to the Green Line, and if guests have a car, they can park on my driveway. Getting onto Route 128 takes less than 5 minutes, and the drive into Boston takes less than half an hour.

There is a friendly cat who probably will visit guests.

I totally enjoyed my stay with Nancy! The place is bigger and nicer than it's described on Airbnb, with beautiful view, clean rooms, and comfortable bed! I appreciated it that I was provided with a key to a seperated door, with which I don't have to worry about coming and leaving the house at odd hours. The location is very convienient for taking public transportation and also for driving if you have your own car. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and safe. The cat, Sammy is also very beautiful and quiet, I enjoyed having her around as well. Nancy has been very friendly and helpful. She prepared simple breakfast (milk, coffee, muffin ect) which was kind and welcomed. She answered all my questions and provided me with luggage tape for packing. Super experience! I highly recommend it to everyone, especially if you care about the safety as much as I do. I'll definitely stay there again if I visit Boston again!

Our experience with Nancy was wonderful from start to finish. She was very responsive to inquiry and follow up messages. When we arrived she was very welcoming and got us settled into our rooms promptly. Her home is lovely and the rooms and private bath were clean, comfy and had all we needed for our stay. Location of rooms in her home was great; very private so we didn't feel like we were intruding in her space. She offered tea and fridge use and asked if we needed recommendations for places to go. She has a friendly cat that we didnt see too much of but it was nice for us given we have a cat at home. We were in for a family event nearby and I can wholeheartedly say that we will be back!

Nancy was the most generous host, especially in allowing for last minute changes in our reservation. The house is very conveniently located to Wellesly, and it was very nice to come back to after all the festivities of graduation. Miss Sammy (the cat) was a special treat. Nancy's house is large and spacious, and she is great to talk to as well as a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding area. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you again, Nancy.

Nancy's home is super lovely and the downstairs level we stayed in worked well for our needs! It was spacious, cozy and quiet which was perfect for a home base despite our busy work commitments. Although we were unable to maximize the beautiful wooded views from the outside deck area, we still felt like we could appreciate the lovely view from the huge glass windows! Thank you again Nancy for everything! Jovanna & John

I enjoyed staying here so much, I decided to turn my one week into two. Because Nancy's house is so large, she was able to accommodate me - even though there were three other guests at the time. Best of all, it gave me more time to spend with Samantha, her beautiful cat. She's gorgeous, friendly and entertainingly playful. All in all, a wonderful experience and I was sorry to say goodbye to both Nancy and Sammy! :-)
