My fiance and I recently made a trip to WI to get acquainted with the surrounding area. The homeowners were so welcoming and the property was gorgeous, we felt right at home the minute we arrived. We visited some of the local restaurants and had a blast meeting the locals. It's clear that Wisconsinites take pride in their local beer, old-fashioneds (that are customarily made with brandy, it turns out), and outdoor recreation. This is a top-notch home that we look forward to staying in again!

The owner is an exceptional communicator with her guests. We loved the location and the house itself is beautifully restored and updated. We will stay with Susan again!

Susan and her family were great hosts and so easy to chat with during our stay. We would have loved to take advantage of their outdoor space - walking trails - had the weather cooperated. And, if you love the outdoors, the location can't be beat!

We love love loved our stay with Susan and Greg! They were such welcoming hosts, and their home is GORGEOUS! They've done beautiful work on their home and property. We brought our dog and I'm not sure I've ever seen him so happy while he ran around and played with their 2 sweet pups. When we arrived we were given clear directions on how to get in, even though Greg was there to meet us. They had great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. We hope to get back to visit. Our trip was relaxing and we loved meeting Susan and Greg.

Susan and her family are so warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay in their farmhouse. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was one road over from the river, and was peaceful and very scenic. They let us have our puppy in their home and there were lots of trails behind the farmhouse to walk her. We have never rented a room out of someone's house for the night before, and this turned out to be a great choice for us!

I am a geologist and come from and have a big family. My husband and I are serial renovators, having restored or built 6 unique properties including waterfront, farmsteads, and historic mansions over the last 25 years. Locally, I am a guest chef. When I am not working you'll find me prospecting for books, bargains, fresh, locally-sourced food or planning the next outside adventure with family and friends.
