Entire home is the best choice (from the choices given by Airbnb to select) to describe the rental, which is inclusive of the entire downstairs, deck & back yard of the property. The Home is unique, like a European Gingerbread Chalet. There are 2 bedrooms, the Skyko River View Room & Bunk Room. Down a few steps from Guest Parking is the Front Door. Off this main hall are the White Door to Rental, Full Bathroom & Shared Laundry; which is stocked & equipped for your complimentary use. The Brown Door directly across from Laundry is the Entry to the Caretaker's Upstairs Apartment; as is the Side Door Entry for use with her dogs & work area.
The Caretaker will contact you prior to your trip departure via email, phone or text message to give you the Gate Codes & Combination to the Key Box. She will also review directions to the Chalet. Private guest parking is in front of Chalet. Keys are obtained by entering the code to the Key Box on the Front Door to Operate Both the Front Entry & White Door to the Rental; or the Caretaker may personally Greet you. The Remotes to operate both gates & Duplicate Keys to share with your group are located on the Kitchen Island. Info on the Rental's Dedicated WiFi & Password are on a Note on the Frig. The Caretaker will take time to respond to your questions in regard to the rental, demo appliances & give you information about the area. Upon vacating the Rental, please leave All Keys & Remotes on the Kitchen Island.
Interaction with guests
Please contact caretaker for any concern w/ the Rental. Otherwise, she won't interact with you as your Privacy & Security are Paramount.
Other things to note
During summer (July to September) the water table & river are at their lowest, water conservation is observed. On rare occasion, gate codes may not initiate, refer to list of phone contacts at each Gate for assistance. If you are given conflicting info or there's not quick resolution, contact Caretaker via Home or Mobile phone; who will meet & assist you in gaining access.
- THE CHALET
-No smoking is permitted inside the rental; please extinguish waste in ash cans next to entry doors. This is a New Listing for the Owner who desires Guests to have the Best Vacation Experience, so the Chalet is being updated between Guest Stays. Please look for Photos w/ New Features as they occur!
- UPON VACATING THE CHALET
-There is no daily maid service; guests must self police kitchen after each use, the saying "The meal's complete when the kitchen is neat!" applies. The kitchen is equipped with cleaning supplies for your use. There is a one time cleaning fee upon completion of your stay. Please remove Shoes in Main Hall & Wear Socks Provided in Basket (Male & Female) when Inside the Rental; you will need to Provide Your Own Children's Socks. There are Light Colored Carpets in the bedrooms so an Additional Carpet Cleaning Fee of $50 will apply for guests who don't adhere to this Rule.
The Chalet is located within a gated HOA. Access is for the Chalet & the Recreational Opportunities Outside the gated community. The Chalet is within minutes of Stevens Pass Ski Resort. The road to access Hwy 2 is plowed in the Winter, however, it does occasionally get ICY, so please come Prepared in either a 4 Wheel Drive vehicle or have Chains for Your Auto. There is beach access on the property to the Skykomish River, however, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! At the railroad bridge is Canyon Falls, which prevents launching a raft upstream, this includes the Chalet's beach. Please be aware of the Fishing Laws in the area which are accessible on the internet. There is a Local Phone Book on the shelf to the Left of the Microwave which lists Emergency Numbers on the Left inside page. The closet towns are Skykomish, Baring, Sultan, Gold Bar and Index. The closest gas stations are in Gold Bar West & Sky Gas & Grocery in Skykomish heading East. The closet grocery is the Gold Bar Family Grocer. It is Advisable to Gas up in Monroe, Sultan or Lastly, Gold Bar. Also, for Best Grocery Options, there is a Costco in Woodinville Off Hwy 522 en route, Fred Meyer & Safeway in Monroe. Please have hand written information prior to setting out for the day as GPS & Cell service in this area are unreliable. A Landline in the Kitchen is available for your convenience.
