Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers. Whether you wish to rest and recuperate or use as a launch pad for trekking, enjoy long walks in town , you will be warm and comfortable at home.
The cottage has two attic rooms both listed separately.
The room is by far in one of the best located homes for your stay in darjeeling.
Warm and cosy in winter , cool and airy in summer .
The cottage is not cluttered by building on either sides as its buffered by its own natural gardens allowing unhindered beautiful vistas of the mountains of Nepal Sikkim Bhutan and the majestic range of Kanchenjunga. The room is large and comes with an attached bathroom and cable TV and has access to the sky deck with amazing views.
Guest will have access to the common living areas except the living area of the hosts.
The attic bedrooms and skydeck have access from the first floor and would be sharing the living and dining areas with the hosts on the first floor . Guest will also have access to the sundeck on the ground floor.
Interaction with guests
The hosts reside on the first floor and would be available for any assistance.
Other things to note
March to end may , the temperatures are mild and the weather is very pleasant. You may get a good view of the Kanchenjunga range weather permitting.
June to September is the rainy season , when everything turns lush green and the streams , rivers are in full spate and the waterfalls at their best .
October to January the temperatures are lower but the weather is good with sunny days and cold nights. The mountain range is also the most visible during this time.
Christmas and New Year is a great time to be here.
No smoking in the cottage , however there are open and outdoor areas available.

Residents of darjeeling for a long long time; while Shalla Plant was the senior most teacher at the local loreto convent school , while teaching she has left an indelible mark on all her student that have passed through the hallowed halls since the seventies .
Austen Plant , an architect by profession has left his imprint on the many homes , tourists lodges and trekkers huts built in and around darjeeling.
We are currently retired and live permanently in darjeeling.
