The property has the following layout:
ENTRANCE AND TERRACE:
The house has its own entrance and terrace on the Maas side, where you will see the sun.
The house was formerly a coaching home part of a monastery / retraitre house from 1847, Rijksmonument en Beschermd Dorpsgezicht. Inside, the house is equipped with marble embossing, high ceilings and some unique elements, such as the high panel doors behind which the pull-out work table is hidden.
Living room (23 m2):
You will enter the living room immediately with a sofa with 2 armchairs and a wooden dining table. By sliding the tall antique door panels, you can pull out a work table. There you will find and a large Apple TV screen with connected Macbook, provided with KPN Play that lets you watch all TV channels. You can do this simply by starting the laptop and then clicking on the WATCH TV icon. If you have a Netflix subscription or so, you can also use this to watch movies or series. Of course you can also use it on the internet,
You can also play a DVD in the laptop. If desired, you can connect your own laptop (as Apple) to the big screen to work on. Afterwards, please rejoin the existing Macbook.
The living room leads through a sliding door to Bedroom 1 and leads through the hallway (3.5 m2) to Bedroom 2 (vide), the kitchenette and the bathroom.
BEDROOM 1 (10 m2):
In the separate bedroom can sleep up to 3 people. There is a double bed (140cm x 200cm) plus a single single bed (90cmx200cm). There is 1 wall closet for clothes including clothes hangers, a small closet plus 2 large drawers under the single bed for clothes and possibly. Other storage.
BEDROOM 2 / VIDEO (7,5 m2):
This is not a separate bedroom but a sleeping (275cm x 300cm) sleeping space 275cm high and accessible via a steep staircase / ladder in the hallway from the living room to the kitchenette and bathroom. This is therefore not suitable for older people or small children. The ceiling above the vide is slanted and is 40cm above the bed on the lowest side and 120cm above the bed at the top.
For 2 adults it is large enough but the ceiling height of the lowest part may pose a problem when boarding, especially for some older people. See also the pictures at this point. But once in the vide, there is enough room to sleep with 2 people.
BEDDING & HANDS:
Available for 5 people.
KITCHENETTE (3 m2):
This is a kitchenette with fridge, a microwave oven-grill, 2-ring electric hob and hot and cold water basin. There is a coffee machine for Dolce Gusto cups. In addition, there is also a regular filter coffee maker, kettle, teapot, pans and there are crockery, cutlery, coffee cups, fresh, beer and wine glasses for 5 people.
Please note: this is a 2-burner kitchenette, no real kitchen so. Extensive cooking is therefore harder here. There are nice and affordable restaurants within walking distance.
BATHROOM (3 m2):
This includes the WC, a shower and sink with hot and cold water. Towel closet with towels provided.
On the plot there is also an indoor pool with changing room, toilet and shower. Use of this heated pool (28 degrees) can only be requested on site and will be reviewed by the owner per moment / case. This is because of privacy.
The house is the former coach house belonging to the former monastery located at the same address (Bat 3). The owners live in the main building (former monastery). Guests can use the terrace directly on the Maas side carriage house, overlooking the Meuse. The rest of the garden is from the owners and not accessible.
If you want to use the pool, you can request the owner. On a case-by-case basis, these decisions will determine whether or not this may be for privacy. The poolhouse is located in the backyard of the owners (main house) on the same plot.
Interaction with guests
If you have questions, app, text or email me. That's the most convenient thing. If that does not work, you can always hit the main house with the big knocker.
Other things to note
The house was originally from 1847 and has mergel elements in the foundation. Because moisture can absorb moisture in humid weather, there are various ventilation features in the house that you can easily turn off if you suffer from noise.
On the plot there is also an indoor pool with changing room, toilet and shower. This indoor swimming pool can be fully opened in front of the window (glass folding wall) to create an outdoor effect. Use of this heated pool (28 degrees) can only be requested on site and will be reviewed by the owner per moment / case. This is because of privacy.
In the swimming pool, house and safety rules apply for the use of the swimming pool.
Use is at your own risk, no lifeguard is available. Parents should supervise their children in the swimming pool.
Only the front of the front / Maas side can be used by the guests as well as the path to the entrance of the Koetshuis. The rest of the garden is not accessible to guests regarding privacy owners.
