I am a single work at home professional who uses my apartment as my work area as well. It is almost always quiet here and it an excellent place to be during your stay in Lafayette
Quiet neighbor on a dead end street near a few restuarants and other business. 7 miles from Purdue campus.
Interaction with guests
If you looking for quiet this is the place to come. If you wanna "shoot the breeze" I'm always looking for a good conversation. We don't even have to agree.
I am a social butterfly who is highly involved in the community of Lafayette. Many times I am not home. So, you may not see me when you enjoy a stay in the city that I call home. But, hopefully, that will not be a problem. My home is your home.
Since I’m techie by nature this may throw you off: you don’t have to meet me for a key. I have an electronic lock on my door that I reset after each guest’s stay. So, if you know how to get to my place, even if I am not there, you will be able to get in. Should you need my assistance, I am usually not too far away.
So, shortly before you arrive, I will send the passcode for the door (with instructions on how to use the keypad) as well as the password for the guest wireless in my home. Remember, my home is your home. When you arrive, you will find clean linens on the bed in the guest room and clean towels in the guest bathroom. Feel free to use any items in the bathroom. While you won’t be able to get live local channel in the bedroom, there is a 40” TV with an assortment of apps including Netflix, Amazon Video, Playstation Vue, and, well, ya da ya da ya da. Remember, my home is your home.
While you are staying with me, please feel free to use the laundry room, make reasonable adjustments to the heating or cooling (especially, if I am not there) and use the living room (can you say 55” 4K Smart TV?) and patio. Remember .. by now you get it. Also feel free to use the refrigerator. There is always cold bottled water in the refrigerator and, yes, I’m a beer snob who is almost always stocked with something new and/or local (can you say IPA?). If beer is your thing, feel free to grab a beer or two per night of stay.
There is only one thing that I ask while you stay: be respectful to my neighbors. I’m a quiet guy who works from home (wherever home may be that day). Translated: I’m all for good spirited conversation; just don’t be loud :-)
I hope that you enjoy your stay at my residence as well as your stay in Lafayette. I haven’t been in the area long but I can hook you up with the few spots to enjoy while you stay here.
Outgoing but introspective remote developer for a Boston-based startup. Since I can work from anywhere I have an Internet connection (and I have a few hotspot options) I want to make sure that I get around the country. A few of my travel goals:
o visit all of the Six Flags theme park including Mexico and Canada
o spend a month in Cheyenne, WY
o spend a month in Seattle, WA
Avid amateur photographer and I from time to time I've been known to read a good book or two :-)
