Dave and Sue made us feel most welcome. The cottage was very cosy and pleasant. The large window enabled us to become mesmerised by the huge number of birds feeding outside. There was plenty to do in the area. Pebbly beaches, sandy beaches, rock pools, cycling and Wigtown is well worth visiting. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend.

Quiet, secluded and lots of birds visible from the cottage due to an abundance of feeding places provided bij Sue and Dave. Not overly comfortable but good value for money.

We had a great time staying at the cottage. It was the perfect location for a quiet break, some relaxation and lots of wildlife spotting. As city dwellers it's exciting to see red squirrels as well as a host of birds! A favourite was the resident woodpecker! The cottage, though tucked away, is easy to access. Everything we needed was provided, the cottage is really well presented, and it's a good base for nearby coastal, country and woodland walks.

A great area for cycling on quiet country roads. Standing stones, stone circles, cup and ring marked rocks plus many more historic sites to keep a look out for. Dave's place is a haven for birds, it must cost a fortune for bird food. The house is set in a very quiet area and has the bonus of no light pollution if you are interested in star gazing. Will certainly visit again.

Hi Sue and Dave, Thanks so much for welcoming us and sharing your beautiful corner of the country... We had a lovely time in the cottage and hope to return in the future! Kind regards, Dolores and Stephen.

After 10 years sailing and living aboard our 40ft yacht with my partner Sue, we have decided to settle in this glorious un-spoilt corner of Britain. We want others to enjoy this area too and have a peaceful, get-away-from-it-all experience.
