Unit is in a great, safe neighborhood. Easy walk (20 minutes) to Old City or Ben Yehuda/City Center nightlife. Close to parks and the King David hotel. Free street parking was several blocks away. Ariela was super nice and accommodating.

Ariela was an amazing host. He apartment was well maintained and the furniture not overly used. Very comfortable bed. She even brought me a toaster oven when asked so I could cook. Excellent location and quiet.

Very small, but perfect if you don't plan to spend much time in the flat.

Thanks Ariela for having us to stay. The flat is in a great location but definitely a squeeze for a couple and a baby. Next time we'll take a larger place. The accommodation is basic but functional. The location is top-notch and I believe that all in all, the flat was great value for money.

Thanks Ariela for the stay at your apartment. Ariela met us on arrival and went over everything and the neighborhood. The apartment itself is very small. I would guess about 250 sq feet. It is not some were you would want to spend a great deal of time in other than sleeping. It is also partially below ground so heating is a little awkward. The mini split AC/heat is near the ceiling so we had to set the temperature to 27 deg C. to get it comfortable near the floor (@22 deg C.) She had a portable electric heater that we found was very nice to have in the bathroom when taking showers. We didn’t use it in air conditioning but I would guess it would be very good in air conditioning (we were there in the spring) Noise wise it was very quiet until we got neighbors in the next room (also Arielas Airbnb). The sound proofing between the rooms is not very good. Location was my main reason for picking this Airbnb. But it is a little deceiving from looking on the map for the walking distance. I think the best way is to walk toward were the windmill is and past it to the west/south corner of the old city wall. What is deceiving is there is a valley between the windmill and the old city. So it is a little bit of a work out. If you are in good shape it is no problem (15 to 20 minutes) but my wife isn’t in good shape and has leg problems so I took a taxi several times for her. Ariela mentioned to us a supermarket close to the apartment. For Americans take that as being a small convenience store (like at a gas station). When I went looking for it I couldn’t find it because I was looking for an American size supermarket. It only has the very basics. Also I had some trouble with ATMs. I found several in the neighborhood but none of them had English. Maybe Ariela would know where to find one with English. All in all for a place to sleep close to the old city it is a good value for that area. Everything is quite expensive in Jerusalem compared to what I am use to near Chicago. One other note: Ariela was quite nice and proactive when we had trouble with the clothes dryer. She picked up the wet cloths and had them dried (Saturday on the Sabbath). I am very appreciative of that since there was really no room in the apartment to air dries them.
