About this listing
This gorgeous one bedroom, two-story studio - situated in the heart of Sydney - is the perfect space for a couple: large, open plan kitchen & living room, lots of natural light and a lovely native garden! Just a 5-10 minute walk to many gourmet cafes and restaurants, local grocers and bars.
Perfect for both short and longer stays.
The studio it was built to be a part of 170 Albion St, although for practical reasons there is a gate between the two places but if two families wanted to share the whole house that would be a great option. You could open the gate and have the whole house to use.
The studio has an independent entrance which opens directly onto a busy wide commercial lane. Little noise is heard in the Studio so it is peaceful which makes it a real contrast to the Lane. The lighting in the Lane is good and many neighbours with children use the Lane as their main entrance but it is not a leafy normal entrance as it directly opens into the spacious main room.
The studio is a 3 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, which takes only 15-20 minutes to reach the centre of the Sydney CBD and only 5-10 minutes to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney University, and surrounding trendy neighbourhoods like Glebe and Newtown.
All guests will have access to Wifi, a landline, washing machine, stereo and TV with Netflix.
The mezzanine floor or downstairs in the large open living space one extra adult or child could be accommodated with a comfortable swag (an Australian bed roll).
Street parking is available - in front of the house, all of Ferris St opposite 170 Albion St, and Albion between Macquaire and Young has unrestricted parking. Macquarie on one side is also unrestricted and I always find a car park. Be careful though, look at the signage though, as it easy to be caught and expensive! Some parts of Albion St are restricted!
Interaction with guests
The house has two seperate living spaces - I or other airbnb guests, live in the front half on the other side of the garden. I will be in Sydney during your stay so I am happy to help you with any queries, concerns or any other special needs, otherwise you will be left to your own devices to enjoy all that the beautiful city of Sydney has to offer!!!
I will provide a welcome package, detailing maps and what's on offer locally (within walking distance) for your convenience.
I ask, out of respect for both myself and the neighbours, to please have no parties and to keep noise at a polite level. If other neighbours are noisy please don't hesitate to ask them to be quieter as we try to consider each other as much as possible.
Other things to note
CLEANING FEE NOTE: Please take note that our cleaning fee includes professional cleaning after each guest along with the restocking of essentials such as toilet paper, soap, conditioner etc. The sheets and towels that we use are high quality hotel standard linens which is guaranteed to be clean, fresh and pressed. If you have any problems with the cleanliness of the house when you arrive please let us know AS SOON AS YOU ARRIVE so that we can send the cleaners back to complete the job.
I would prefer no animals.
Smoke outside in the garden is OK.
At the top of the stairs there is a safety issue for young children, or if you have some walking or sight issue. It is manageable though!
