This apartment is in a building, dating from 1880, the building was completely refurbished 2008. The area is residential and is in demand because of its proximity to city centre. From the apartment it takes about 20 minutes to walk to Saint Stephens Green and Christchurch, about 25 to 30 minutes to walk to Trinity College or Guiness brewery. Camden Street is close by with all its cafes, pubs and restaurants. If you don't fancy walking there is a bus stop outside, with a bus every 5 min or so.

The space

The space is classic 1880 Victorian Dublin. High ceilings, cornices cast iron fireplaces. The hot water is instant and as with the heating is heated by gas, the guest has full controll. The bedrooms are large and bright, the floors are solid American oak. The kitchen has fridge, oven, dishwasher and microwave with all the utensils you could require.

Guest access

Apartfom the apartment there is an outside seating area complete with barbeque.

Interaction with guests

Although I don't live in the building I am usually not far away and always contactable by phone.

Laurence’s home was lovely and spotless. It was conveniently located and he offered a parking pass, which was a great perk. Call ahead to verify the entrance code.

Great spot. Close to the city but still quiet and secluded. Excellent communication from Laurence at very short notice too.

Our 2nd visit to Laurence's lovely apartment . Laurence was quick to respond to our questions and requests; we couldn't have asked for more. The location is fantastic and the apartment is clean and comfortable. We hope to be back.

Well placed accommodation central to a lot of things in Dublin. Clean and relatively spacious - bedrooms a good size; kitchen/dining room reasonable also. We did not cook/eat at home so cannot comment on the white goods very much, but really enjoyed our stay and time. Good levels of communication prior to arrival. Would recommend for folks who want to be within 1.5 miles of all central areas. Those who know Dublin recognise it sprawls outwards and has a large City Centre area, so nowhere is 'Central' in my view. So, overall a good experience and well placed.

The apartment was lovely and in a very good location. It's about a 10 minute walk from St Stephen's Green. Within a 5 minute walk there are a number of restaurants, pubs, coffee places etc.

Laurence's apartment is exactly what we needed for our first trip to Dublin! It is located far enough from the hustle and bustle of central Dublin, but walkable if you feel like taking a stroll through the city. It was a great way to get to know Dublin! The apartment was clean upon check in and Laurence's instructions to get to and get into the apartment was easy to follow. The beds and even the couch were comfortable, but wished there were more blankets as there is no heat throughout the apartment. If you tend to get easily cold like me (I'm spoiled with California weather) I would recommend bringing slippers or warm socks and a sweater to wear around the apartment (please note that it was mid-September when I stayed in the apartment). Overall, I give this apartment a huge thumbs up. Especially on location, communication with Laurence, and cleanliness/comfort. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
