We had a lovely stay at the beautiful renovated house of Loic. We changed the arrival time at the last minute, due to difficulties with the GPS and traffic. Loic was really kind to leave the key, so we could enter the house whenever we arrived. Later on we got welcomed by Eric and Sylvie, who toured us around and gave us some nice suggestions for restaurants and things to see. Everything is present in the house. However, we really missed having an oven. When we entered, the heating was off and it was cold. It took us 2 days to heat up the house to a comfortable temperature, because we didn't not want to use the open fireplace (there was no wood present in the house and we thought it weird to buy wood for only 4 evenings). The house is ideally located if you want to go see the beaches and musea about D-Day.

Beautiful! So close to the D day beaches, beautiful layout and very nice people! We don't speak French, but they were happy to work through our sad attempts. The house was clean and very nice. We would have stayed longer if we could have.

Loic's home is charming and lovely! Set in a picturesque town in Normandy, it was both secluded and still central to all the D-Day sites we wanted to visit. Sylvie met us and let us check in a bit early so we could leave our luggage and continue our adventures. We don't speak French & she doesn't speak English, but I think we understood what she was telling us. Loic was very prompt and helpful in answering any questions we had.

Loic, Eric, and Sylvia, were all wonderful hosts, they checked in daily to make sure I had everything I needed, and that if I had any questions that I was to go to them, and they answered all questions I had with undying accuracy, Isigny Sur Mer, which is nearby, is a great place for food, the time of the year I went, (Early December), most places for D-Day are closed, but the American Cemetary is a must-go, Omaha, and Utah are open year round, but the museums for them are not, Pointe Du Hoc has the most remnants of the war left behind, many old bunkers and craters left over. The house was clean when I left, I felt bad leaving when I did, I think I left a little trash upstairs but I couldn't turn around to get it. The shower was incredibly spacious, I loved that in particular about the bathroom. I'd recommend Loic's place to anyone!
