Interaction with guests

Interaction with Guests
Your hosts Mindy & Stuart welcome you to MooRiver Farm and will be available to ensure your stay is as tranquil, comfortable and pleasant as possible. Beyond that you may engage with us (in person or, when we are not there, by phone) as much or as little as you desire. As it is a working boutique farm, we may cross paths. However rest assured your privacy is respected.

Other things to note

The Space
The Dairy Bales is a lovingly converted, rustic one bedroom fully self-contained cabin approx 50m from the owners’ home and screened for privacy.
Ideally suits couples, or 'cosy' family of up to 4. The 'library' sofa folds out to 2 single beds in the living area for children.
Main bedroom has queen sized bed with quality linen and mozzie net canopy.
Lounge room has 3-piece lounge, small dinner table, TV, limited Wifi (on request), iPod dock, books, games.
Large windows and doors can be thrown open in the warmer weather and a pot belly fire is easy to use as a romantic, rustic way to make the place toasty warm in winter. Additionally there's a gas heater to warm things up quickly.
Bathroom has a relaxing bath & shower.
Kitchenette consists of convection microwave, cooktop with 2 gas jets, basic supply of pots, pans, plates, cups, glasses, cutlery etc and basic cooking spices, spreads and sauces.
Large deck to relax on (BBQ included), listen to the sound of the river, eat under the stars and generally watch the world go by.
Breakfast hamper at the beginning of your stay may typically include MooRiverFarm eggs, tomatoes, honey, plus locally sourced (where possible) muesli, fresh bread, mushrooms, bacon, milk, butter, and a range of teas. There are brilliant cafes in town for what is arguably the best coffee around.
All water is sourced from the creek running through MooRiverFarm, which is pristine with a mineral like quality, suitable for drinking straight from the tap.

Guest Access to Property

Explore the farm at your leisure.
15 acres is sub tropical rainforest, joining the heritage listed Dorrigo National Park and Great Dividing Range (there are walking tracks up the mountain for the energetic).
Bellinger River lines one side of the property and is accessible for swimming, kayaking etc.
Star gazing is just amazing on a clear night - see if you can touch the Milky Way!

There are chooks, horses (sometimes) and cows, fruit and macadamia trees, and a veggie patch and herbs. Eggs and in-season fruit, nuts and veggies.
No PETS please. We have 2 dogs, an affectionate Springer Spaniel & an old Wolfhoundx who will happily take cuddles if you’re inclined.
Smoking outside the Dairy only please.

The Dairy is a wonderful home away from home located in the country but close to Bellingen and National Parks. The resident dogs were very friendly, obedient and unobtrusive. The chooks roam over the hill and the scenery, not to mention the stars at night, are magnificent! Mindi & Stuart were welcoming, very respectful of our privacy and accommodating of all of our needs.....I really look forward to visiting again
