Welcome to stay in our cabin on our farm at the Torne River . The cottage sits together with an old wood workshop where ancestors made traditional wooden boats for the Torne river for generations.
The secluded and open location in the river valley makes it perfect for viewing the beautiful northern lights in wintertime, there are no distracting streetlights or traffic.
Enjoy the woodfired sauna and hang out in the boathouse.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We arrived late and left very early and Fredrik was so accommodating, leaving the sauna running so that we could use it when we got in. Excellent communication and a very idyllic stay. We would certainly go back.

Thank you for the great stay... We absolutely loved the cabin and relaxing in the sauna. Everything to make our stay worth was available in the little kitchen and once we adapted to the condition of a cabin standard it is a truly refreshing experience. Especially cooking on the open fire. The boat house is a perfect place to enjoy the surroundings after a relaxing sauna and bath.

Fredrick's place was a great find! Fredrick and his pup were very welcoming and the cabin is very comfortable. The wood fired sauna was incredible and we really enjoyed the views from the frozen river. The no running water thing was completely fine - only slightly annoying when doing dishes. We would definitely come back!

We really enjoyed staying in the wild for a night! The area is amazing. For the price we were a bit disappointed we couldn't use the sauna after 8pm and in the morning before checkout at 10am (it takes an hour to start so you'll have to arrive early, wake up early or stay more than one night).

Had a wonderful stay at the little cottage! The surroundings were beautiful and the night spent there was an unforgettable experience. It's the perfect place for getting closer to nature, enjoying the Northern Lights and the beauty of simple things! Would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience far away from the city fuss!

Welcomes you to the small village Paksuniemi, I like the outdoors a lot and enjoy all the shifting seasons to ski, skijoring, crosscountry skiing with dogs, snowshoeing, icefish in the winter, and gather berries and mushrooms, growing vegetables, hiking and flyfishing in he summer and fall.
What I like the most with this place here in Paksuniemi village is the calm and quiet, You can hear your footsteps on the snow in a quiet winternight, the birdsong in summer, and the water clucking at the shore by the boathouse - there are no disturbing noice inbetween.
The smell of tar from the woodenboats in the spring.
We are surrounded by pristine forests and a wild and untamed Torne river that is mother nature and life itself.
When I can I enjoy travelling away to discover our beautiful planet together with my wife and kids, and also enjoy very mouch coming back home.
Im working in my own company as a photographer and guide.
Welcome!
