Enjoy a day as simple as relaxing in a hammock; as urban as Rockland, with its plenty of culture, entertainment, eating & arts; or as authentic as the working waterfront village of Port Clyde. Discover the pleasures of time out of time on Long Point.

The space

The Bunkhouse at Long Point is a wonderful, traditional Maine cabin on a private peninsula available to you when the owners are in residence in the cottage. Sleeps two in real comfort, offering bath with shower, kitchenette with toaster oven, electric kettle and mini-fridge for light meals. Enjoy views of the water as you dine in the Bunkhouse or outside in a Long Point lounging chair. Skylights, fan and electric heater are additional amenities in this snug, insulated cabin.

You have easy access to Rockland's museums and culture, Port Clyde's working waterfront and ferry to Monhegan Island or you may decide just to hang out at Long Point watching seals in the Cove, eagles and osprey overhead and the peninsula's red squirrels.

Two night minimum. Pricing includes a continental breakfast for your first morning.

The location of this bunkhouse cannot be beat. Pristine views of the cove, it's lovely beyond words. My friend and I stayed a weekend and basically got to live out childhood fantasies of living in a cabin in the woods. The inside of the bunkhouse was very clean - skylights added a nice touch.

What a gem! This thoughtfully designed bunkhouse was even more than I had hoped for! Dayne and Gardner thought of everything a traveler could need, the space was perfect for my daughter and I. There were many features that made this cabin special including hidden lighting in the ceiling that provided just enough light for me to see while my daughter slept. Dayne was the perfect host (Gardner was away), promptly answering any questions I had while giving us all the privacy that we needed. I hope to stay here again soon!

The modern little cabin was perfect. Surrounded by water and woods. My daughter loved the hammock and swing and the swimming is not for wusses. There was a beautiful breakfast waiting for us with high quality muffins, yogurt and coffee. The lovely, organic and local bath products were also a treat. It was an inspiring minimalist and tasteful home. Dayne and her husband were welcoming and friendly while respecting our space.

our stay at the bunkhouse was perfect.. it was exactly what we were hoping for! a cozy, quiet little spot nestled in the trees, with water nearby. Dayne and Gardner were the most pleasant of hosts, and they have so thoughtfully created a special place to stay. the bunkhouse is simply and beautifully furnished with everything needed. we were also so appreciative of the extra special treat of fresh muffins waiting for us on our first morning there.

My husband and I were looking for a quite place to celebrate our first 6 months being married and this exceeded all of our expectations. Cute, quiet, relaxing and inviting! Close to town with lots to explore & worth every penny! We really loved our time and didn't want to leave! Will definitely come back! ❤
