The house is very clean upstairs but if the bikes are not available then you are reliant on public transport or walking if you don't drive. And with the huge homeless community campsite just 3 minutes walk down the road it can feel very unsafe while walking at nights. The fruit from the garden is lovely.

Response from Laretta:
Accuracy: ALL our FREE equipment we lend to guests must be used RESPONSIBLY. When we realized these particular guests were drinking heavily and riding our bikes on a busy street (and yes, you can get a DUI riding a bike), these bikes were no longer available for these guests to use for their own safety. Communication: Steve is our On-Site Manager: his AND my cell ph#'s are written on white board in common area. He needs to let guests know if they are too loud and disturbing others. Location: We are located directly across the street from the ocean AND a bus stop is 30 feet from our property (a bus comes every 15 minutes). That's a first to hear someone felt "Stranded and reliant on public transport" (when they chose not to rent a car).

My daughter stayed in Laretta's home and was well looked after by her hosts. A quiet place to stay which was a great end to her holiday in the US. She hired a car to get there as the area was further away from the airport than we realised. A last minute booking, Laretta's quick response was appreciated. A safe place to stay and an overall very good experience.

Papaya patch is located on the quieter west coast of the island, there are great not so crowded beaches and hikes here. We had a great stay, nice house and facilities and we enjoyed interacting with the hosts and other guests.

Great place. Although there were multiple guests I rarely saw anyone and Laretta made herself available in the most gracious of ways, but still allowed me complete privacy. It was almost like staying in a hotel. Everything was very clean and I was really comfortable.

Exceptional home and farm/land. Stunning location. This is what a vacation home feels like to me - comfortable, comfortable, comfortable.

A quiet place, easy to find and access. LORETTA the host was very helpful in discovering the local area. Clean and plenty of space to relax in a variety or areas. A great stay.

Local nurse into health and wellness; there's a garden in the back most of the year. I like a serene, calm environment that promotes good healthy fun! Enjoy ocean activities, and I know little secret places that I'll share with you when you come. The five things I just can't live without would be connecting with my grown kids and my one grand child; Knowing Stephen is here, and the 5 beautiful, loving cats and 1 sweet, soulful dog that lives on this acre with us; Gardening and creating meditative spaces to go to and relax.Last, but certainly not least, would be creating a restful, clean place where guests from all over the world could come and feel "at home and accepted" during their travels. My favorite travel destination is Hawaii ! Favorite motto: "If you think education is expensive, try ignorance"." I would rather wear out, than rust out", "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".....
