Nice cabin inside Yosemite National Park. The cabin is clean, Garth and the team were great. There is a nice river less than half a mile to go for a swim and enjoy really nice views, -- totally worth checking out. We were unlucky with construction, but the Giant Sequoia Mariposa Grove is nearby the cabin and would've loved to check it out. It does take close to an hour to get to Yosemite Valley from the cabin without traffic so plan accordingly. The cabin is nearby other cabins so you'll be around other people, but far enough for privacy. Totally recommend staying here.

We loved our stay here. Not a fancy place, but clean, comfortable, and nicely equipped. Garth and Margina were welcoming and helpful, and everything went smoothly. The nearby swimming holes were a real treat, especially after a tough Yosemite hike. A great alternative spot to the cars and crowds of the Valley.

The place was rustic which we expected. Location was in the park and close enough to glacier point. Appliances looked newer except for the frig. The gas grill was nice and we used it for most of our dinners. The place was perfect for our family of five. Would stay again!

We spent three very nice evenings on the cabin deck while enjoying meals we prepared on the new barbecue and well equipped kitchen. Days were taken up by the always amazing Yosemite.

We enjoyed our time at Garth's place in Wawona. Garth was very friendly, especially toward our grandkids. We especially enjoyed the kitchen as we cooked our evening meals at the cabin. It was a very comfortable place to stay. We would definitely stay there again when we return to Wawona.

3rd generation Yosemite son, and torch bearer of Camp Chilnualna in Wawona. Yosemite's best unkept secret since 1933. With 150 years of family experiences in Yosemite, I still find something new worth noticing every day & more than anything I love to share our history and our home with others. Families have made Wawona & Camp Chilnualna a tradition that spans generations. The best neighborhood in town because it's your neighborhood. I am here for you everyday of the year, because I never go anywhere & 6 hours of sleep per night is merely a suggestion.
Oh, airbnb wants me to give you my motto - they think I'd have a motto?
Ok I have a motto. You see, I've always strived to be an optimist, and was for a long time. It's tremendously hard work because my arch enemy, "the pessimist" is much greater in numbers, and has a terrible weapon we optimists can never fire - it's called "I'm just being realistic" and it's cheating to use it. Anyway I upgraded my motto from "The glass is half-full" to simply "Half-Glass Full". I need so much less than a full glass to feel grateful, and with gratitude we get to live half-glass full everyday. Pessimists can't touch it.
