Interaction with guests

My husband and I have loved meeting our guests and helping them in any way possible. We are always available for all support and enjoy sharing our favorite places w folks, and learning about theirs. We usually aren't at the home during a guests stay. We may stay in the lock-off and are sometimes there, sometimes out of town, but always available by phone. I will be there to meet and greet, then give my guests the place to themselves.

Other things to note

Telephone cell service is often not good here. Three miles back, towards town, the service is good. We do have good internet service.
Please note that this is a summer- fall rental; June - October.

From the moment we turned down Lori's driveway we were blown away. The short drive past the main town and out into the country was gorgeous as we passed by horses, farm houses, and sweeping fields of green. The property was beautiful. Very well kept, open, surrounded with lush vegetation and the little pond was absolutely the cutest! All of the animals, including their two horses greeted us as we pulled up to the bunkhouse. Inside we were met with a delightful warm setting surrounded by wood, chandelier's, books, and trinkets from around the globe. The open layout of the kitchen and living room was amazing and as you head up stairs past the rainmaker, djembe, maracas, and other various music makers you are greeted with an amazing loft! Super cozy, a desk to work at, two beds, fantastic views and a billiards table! After our 12 hour drive from Phoenix this escape into country elegance was the perfect getaway while we attended a wedding in vail. We can not wait to come back! Thank you Lori!

Lori & Ted's Bunkhouse was AMAZING!! We stayed there for 5 days and really didn't want to leave!! Lori & Ted are gracious hosts, with great communication; check-in was easy and they were up at the big house if we ever needed anything. The bunkhouse is amazing!! You can see all the care and love that Lori & Ted put into it. Everything was so comfortable and relaxing!! We loved having the horses right off the porch to feed apples and carrots to. There are three beautiful porches/sitting areas to sit at to eat or just relax with your morning cup of Joe as you watch the sun rise. There are so many wonderful things about our stay at the bunkhouse!! Our 9 year-old daughter loved it as well! We played games on the patio, sat on the chairs out by the pond, went for wonderful walks, and fed the horses! And we did all this and we had our 2 dogs with us!! Lori & Ted are lovers of animals, and it really shows at their bunkhouse!! They left out several water bowls for the dogs. Honestly, I cannot rave enough about Lori & Ted and their bunkhouse!! It made our 2017 summer vacation memorable!! We will be back!! Thank you Lori & Ted!! Michelle, Andy & Willow

This was a really beautiful and sweet retreat. We went for my daughter's ninth birthday with her good friend. Our hosts met us with their adorable dog pack and our dog just joined in like butter! We all just wanted a quiet and beautiful place to spend a couple days, and that's what we got; plus feeding the beautiful horses carrots and apples! It was hot while we were there, and little hot at night, but we left widows and doors open wide to keep it cool. We had two great dinners in town, bought some other provisions at the King Soopers and saw a movie at the cinema in town. Also went 10 minutes down the road (passing the most beautiful pastoral homes and land, and a darling miniature pony) to the Eagle rec center outdoor pool that was awesome with lots of shade. Our dog was also IN HEAVEN. Makes you feel it's how all dogs are meant to live. Our hosts met us and then went off camping with friends a few miles up the road. They would check in when coming in the morning the feed the horses. I am already thinking of when we could return...

Lori and her husband Ted are amazing hosts. Ted welcomed us with a tour of the house, some history of the area and recommendations of where to hike and bike. There are too many amazing things about both the hosts and the bunkhouse to list, but we fully enjoyed the friendly dogs (Coco, Sandy and Bingo), the horses, the eclectic space, the big bed and the hot tub. Super friendly folks. We will be back!

We had an amazing stay at Lori's place. She was an wonderful hostess and made us feel incredibly welcome. The home was well kept and beautifully decorated, and included mostly everything we could think of that we'd need during our visit. There's no lack of activities, and although the house is located approximately 15 minutes outside of the downtown area. I would stay again in a heartbeat!
