The Cottage at Villa PassiFlora represents an excellent choice for individuals or couples who don’t need the space of the Villa, and it adds the option of stays of fewer than 3 nights. The cottage is on the Villa PassiFlora property, surrounded by forest, fruit trees and tropical plants, with a view through the forest to the Atlantic Ocean. Guests have ready access to the trail leading to Pointe Baptiste.

The space

The Cottage at Villa PassiFlora is exceptionally spacious and airy. Steady but gentle winds flow in off the front porch, where flow is controlled by louvered windows. The design of the cottage echoes the style that has made Villa PassiFlora "one of Dominica's most exquisite accommodation options".

Guest access

The cottage is fully yours, offering a great base of operations for your Dominica experience. In addition to a large bedroom, there is a very spacious sitting, dining and kitchen area, which includes a very comfortable sofa bed should a child or third guest be part of your group. There is no extra charge for use of this additional bed. The air bathroom even includes a washing machine. A well-worn footpath at the edge of our property provides easy access to Pointe Baptiste beach, one of Dominica's most pleasant. Please note that the pool and other amenities of the Villa are not available to Cottage guests.

Bruce is a great host and the communication was fast! When we arrived the cottage was not clean but in about 10 min somebody was there to clean it and she was very helpful. It was really nice nature feel but the bed was kind of small and we had trouble with the water from the shower, there was not much coming out. Overall it was a good stay!

Thanks, Amber. We are going to be replacing the bed with a larger one during the month of May when we are on the island. We'll have someone check on the shower as soon as possible.

Thank you Bruce and Anne for allowing us to stay in the lovely cottage. We enjoyed the breeze, listening to the ocean, all the wood work around the home and meeting Isaline :) The front porch and the tiny balcony off from the back are very cute. The three sweet plantains left made a yummy complement to one of our evening dinners :) thank you! Loved the food at Coral Reef and POZ which is so conviniently close and takes credit card:) Doing a short hike from the cottage to see the ocean was great. From our stay here we visited Emerald pool, the Kalinago Reservation which was fantastic! And tiny quaint "downtown Calibichie" :) My recommendation to future guests and visitors to Calibishie is that they bring cash either US dollars or EC dollars as they take both because access to ATM is limited on the island and barely any businesses take credit card. :)

Beautiful, spacious and comfortable cottage. A great base to explore the island and nearby waterfalls, natural pools, red rocks and beaches. Poz's restaurant (2 minute walk) and Rainbow in Calibishie town are great and conveniently close.

The cottage on the PassiFlora estate is great. Everything is clean, new, and the place is much larger than the pictures suggest. The staff who look after the estate are very helpful and I'd definitely stay here again.

This cottage is amazing. The deco is wonderful. I particularly like the windows. The kitchen is fab and stocked with all the utensils that you need to make yourself breakfast. The added special touch was that the host provided a little bit of milk, sugar, coffee. So you can have that much needed morning coffee. Also oil and salt so you just have to buy your actual breakfast items and not worry about the little things which you also need. I am so grateful that there are people considerate enough to provide such a facility in Dominica. Sincerely appreciated and highly recommended. Thank you Bruce.

I am a neurologist and I help run a small theater in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA, Barking Legs Theater. My wife and I own and operate a guest house on Dominica, the Nature Island of the Caribbean, Villa PassiFlora. We love to travel to destinations with interesting culture, considerable beauty--natural or architectural--and great food. I am an amateur guitarist and mandolinist, and I seek out music when I travel.
