My place is close to downtown Houston's business and theater district, Toyota Center, Minute Maid Park and Dynamo's soccer stadium, plus popular bars and restaurants in Midtown. Easy access and close proximity to both airports; Houston Intercontinental and Hobby airports. I'm 6 miles from the Hospital District and 8 miles from NRG stadium, both by the convenient Metro Train close by. No anxiety about where to park.

The space

My first floor bedroom comes with it's own thermostat for the first floor guest's comfort. The bathroom shower takes the guess work out of when a shower is warmed up and ready to jump in. I have a shower head which turns the LED lights to the color green when the water is in the warm temperature range; red for hot and blue for still cold.

Guest access

Access to the kitchen on the second floor, washer and dryer on the first floor. In order to gain entrance into the property requires two keys, one for the security outside rod iron gate and one key for the front door.

Stayed at Carmen’s place for a night and the whole experience was fantastic. Communication was excellent and checkin was flawless. Carmen really went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. The place itself is clean and very nice. The proximity to both downtown and midtown was one of my favorite aspects of our stay. Highly recommend staying here, and if I return to Houston, I certainly will.

Carmen is very friendly and helpful. The location is great--close to downtown, the museum district and Montrose. Private room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.

I loved my stay in Houston in this beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood but close to everything. Carmen has been a great host, both before my trip as well as during my stay. She is not only very responsive but also very helpful providing information on the surroundings such as the metro, grocery stores, sightseeing spots, restaurants. The house was fantastic, it was clean and had everything one needs, and the location couldn't be better. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Carmen was a lovely, available, and responsive host. The huge closet , and private bathroom seriously make this place a steal. Water bottles in the mini fridge were a nice perk. If youre out exploring Houston all day , this is a good place to crash. My only critique is the quality of the fouton/bed, the bar pertruding into the mattress specifically on the left side was a little uncomfortable.

Response from Carmen:
Frankie was the stealth guest. He was very busy most of the weekend with the Light over Dark festival (?) going on. He is correct about my King size Day bed. . . still working on the main bar protruding. Frankie is welcome here anytime. Thank you, Carmen

Carmen was very welcoming and personable. She made my stay very easy and comfortable. Her place was only a 10-12 minute walk from the heart of downtown Houston which is what I was looking for! Everything is very clean and very nice. Comfortable bed, your own thermostat, and very secure. I will definitely be looking up Carmen again upon my next visit to Houston!

I had a wonderful stay at Carmen's and she is such a sweet and helpful person. The house was super clean and the pictures actually don't do justice to the place. It was way nicer and cleaner than it looks. The location of the house is perfect and every evening I walked to try food at a new place. Carmen took out time to show me around the neighborhood, which was so nice of her. I am very finicky about cleanliness and Carmen's house was spotless. I would be back soon!

Thank you so much. I enjoyed meeting you and giving you a tour of the neighborhood. I enjoy visiting Atlanta when I visit my brother in Kennisaw. Take care. Carmen

The host was flexible on when I could meet her. I liked that the host's home gave me a private area. The first floor has a bedroom and bathroom solely for the guest. There is a refrigerator in the bedroom with water. The bathroom had special touches such as very plush towels, a shower in a bathtub with a bench, and a toothbrush holder. The bedroom has an empty closet and shelves for the guest's use. A wonderful Mexican restaurant, Cyclone Anaya's, and other estaurants and bars are within walking distance. This home is also within walking distance to downtown. Great location!

Semi-retired professional living in this townhome. These Urban Lofts were built in 2002 and I have lived here since 2004. I have lived in Houston since 1985. I live with three cats and one big plant in the living room. I enjoy my neighborhood due to being walking distance to a wide range of entertainment. Start my morning at Starbucks, lunch or dinner at Cyclone Anaya's and end at the dueling pianos at Howling at the Moon.
