This room is perfect for business travelers, artists or anyone need of a quiet space to work and lay your head. The room is best for one person, but could be set up with a cot for double occupancy if need be. Great views of our lovely yard!
I share the house with my brother, his girlfriend and an ever changing cast of airbnb guests! We are laid back, friendly and respectful.
My place is close to Mill Avenue District - Downtown Tempe, ASU, The Desert Botanical Gardens, and Sky Harbor airport.
This room is one of four in a small historical home, located on a quiet cul-de-sac at the heart of Tempe's art district. It's an older home, and with that comes charm as well as quirks. One of those quirks is the layout of the house. This listing is located in the back portion of the house, attached to our mudroom / laundry room. Access to the main house is through the kitchen. Meaning - you will have to walk through the kitchen and living room to access the house's one bathroom. The room's location is nice, as it is very private, has can be accessed either through the back door or through the house. It has lovely views of our yard.
The laundry room is also our storage room, and though we try to keep things tidy, there are boxes and bicycles, etc. stored back there.
The room itself is a small room, that doubles as our office / art room. There is a single bed, a desk, a clothing rack and shelves full of art supplies.
Guests can access the kitchen, bathroom, laundry facilities, the living room (if no one is currently sleeping on the couches), the back yard and the fire pit (bring your own firewood!)
Other things to note
Just a reminder, especially for those who are new to AirBnb. Or those who are unfamiliar with communal living situations. This listing is at my home. I live on the property.
It is not a hotel, or a property that is only used for AirBnb. People live here.
I work very hard to keep my home clean, and to continuously do things to improve the overall atmosphere of the house. It is a lived in, busy home. I clean the house between each guest, and keep things tidy throughout the week. But it is an older house, and one that is full of people - not the Hilton. So I would ask two things of my prospective guests:
1) Please respect my home. Clean up after yourself. If you make a mess, and need some help - just let me know! Stuff happens, but I'm happy to assist.
2) Please do not expect perfection. My house is far from immaculate... but is constantly and thoughtfully cleaned and cared for to the best of my abilities.
If you have any questions or issues - before or during your stay, please let me know. I hate to find out about things in a negative review - I'd rather take care of them for you and ensure you have a great stay! So say something!
No pets or guests without prior approval.
Clean up after yourself (wash your dishes, pick up your trash, etc)
Be respectful to other tenants, keep noise level to a minimum after midnight and before 9am.
I have a full time job, but my hours are flexible. I am always able to be reached through Airbnb or by contacting me on my cell.
I will always try to help in any way I can. So if you have any questions, or need any assistance - please do not hesitate to let me know! Otherwise I will give you as much privacy as possible and will stay out of your hair.
