Vanessa and Beni's place was perfect for our first visit to Tel Aviv. The apartment is on a beautiful, quiet tree lined street yet only a block away from a grocery store, an incredible bakery and other restaurants and bars. The beach is only about a 15 minute walk away. Communication with the host was super easy and they were more than accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a perfect location if you want quiet, but be close to everything in Tel Aviv. It is a pleasure to deal with Beni and Vanessa, and they maintain the property very clean. The elevator is small but very helpful when you have luggage or packages. The apartment is well designed so it feels larger than it is, and the couch in the salon has a convertible bed underneath. The apartment has everything you need to feel at home. The Lehamim bakery around the corner has the best bread and pastry in Tel Aviv.

Great location, quiet street and clean. Vanessa is very friendly and even let us borrow her baby toys and mat. Make sure you realize there is only one bedroom and the living room & kitchen is open. The lift is absolutely tiny (can't fit a pushchair).

After decades of staying in rental units across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe and now Israel I can honestly say this was the most stressful and disappointing experience we've ever had. So many items were non-functional in this unit including lighting, microwave, television. There was mold in the shower, water damage on the walls, broken blinds, a bedroom heater that did not work and it got quite cold. We reported items to the host as we found them which started the day after we arrived. The host claimed to not know items were broken, blamed prior guests for not reporting the broken items, and then got downright rude including racist remarks, in writing, in Air BnB's system, when we began to alert them to the items and request repairs. The host outright lied that they did not know of some of the broken items, a fact proven by the eventual acknowledgement by her husband and co-host, in writing, in Air BnB's system that the broken lighting had been that way for some time and was supposed to have been fixed two weeks prior to our arrival. If you look back at reviews from earlier in the year there was also mention of the broken TV in the bedroom and broken blinds. The woman excused the amount of time it was taking to address the broken items by writing "People in Israel are Lazy"! She berated us in writing saying that "People in Israel are cool and Americans are not and we should be cool". I was travelling with my 80 year mother on her first trip to Israel and chose the unit to ensure her comfort and safety. Between all the things that didn't work, the things that sometimes worked (including the elevator) and the stress of having to communicate with this rude, racist woman to try and get things such as the microwave and lighting replaced it really ruined our stay. This host will also be duplicitous in her communications, using text, What's App and email to communicate only part answers or information. FYI, Air BnB in their own words "completely dropped the ball" in following up on our needs during our stay and never offered us any sort of compensation outside of a small Air BnB credit to make up for their lack of responsiveness and help during our stay. I am pretty certain we will not be using Air BnB ever again so this has no value to us. Bottom line, there are many units available in Tel Aviv and you should simply cross this one off your list.

Response from Beni And Vanessa:
your speech is a tissue of lies and insults, which I do not accept I understand better why you work with dogs, you do not like human! We are hosts for several years and you are the only one unsatisfied by the apartment and by our services. No need to argue about your shameful, keep your hunger for you and go your way, you are not made for israel By the way, airbnb never received substantiations: Mise à jour par : David J, 28 nov. 17:21 CST: Vanessa, We had told her to send in any video or picture she had to prove the issues. We did not receive any documentation. The European Caseworker advised this also and has directed her to the resolution center. That is the last update that I see from her. I will keep a eye on the ticket to see if it reopens. If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime feel free to contact us. Best Wishes David J Mise à jour par : David J, 3 déc. 14:05 CST: Hello Vanessa, There has been no resolution center opened and there has been no documentation provided. The reservation is over and we have not heard from Kat. At this time this matter is closed. If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to contact us. Best Wishes
