County - no neighbors that you can see. The sky goes forever, the stars shine brighter as they are not competing with any unnatural light. There is a river and beach just down the road. Mapua Wharf for dining and galleries is a 8 minute drive away. We are a couple of minutes bike ride off the Tasman Great Taste Trail. Walking, running, biking tracks.

I love my property - 25 acres on the Waimea Plains with views forever. Love inviting guests to enjoy it also, it is very peaceful and allows you to settle and just think. John and I also love planting more and more natives to bring back the bird life, this property was once cleared of Natives to allow for farming, we are slowly restoring it. And my real passion is finding bits to add to the property, could be a cushion or a chair to restore or a simple plate. We very much enjoy our guests but also value their privacy, so will be there to chat but also leave everyone to do their own thing.
