My husband and I stayed at Nancy and Jeff's vacationing in the area. One day we explored Peaks of Otter with walking tours given by a Park Service Ranger. Another morning we toured "Poplar Forest" the country get away estate of Thomas Jefferson. It was always great coming back to Jeff and Nancy's B&B. We found them to be wonderful, warm and extremely generous hosts that bent over backwards to make our stay pure magic. Nancy is a very gifted cook that takes great pleasure in pleasing her guests taste buds. We would abutely stay here again in a heartbeat.

Sister Nettle is a charming B&B and Nancy is wonderfully welcoming--5 out of 5 stars, would definitely recommend. The rooms were both comfortable and quiet in this lovely countryside escape, and Nancy was an extremely attentive and gracious host--we couldn't have asked for more, and appreciated her hospitality. We also definitely appreciated Nancy's willingness to accommodate food allergies for our morning breakfast, and enjoyed breaking our fast with a locally sourced home cooked meal. I highly recommend a stay--or better yet, a country retreat--at Sister Nettle.

We loved Sister Nettle! We had a great time and Nancy was a wonderful host - very responsive, helpful, thoughtful, and kind. We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay. It was nice to pick herbs (like basil!) from the garden and look up at the stars at night. The creek in the back is also lovely. The proximity to great hikes/trails is a huge plus, too. We would definitely stay here again!

We were their one night. More than expected. Nancy is a great host, her home is very welcoming. Their is an abundance of nature to explore in the area; fishing, hiking, winery's. The mountain view from the dinning nook for breakfast was really amazing. The wifi worked great but I wouldn't expect to have good cell reception. The permaculture system she has been working on is really interesting and makes the whole environment of her property relaxing and nice to see.
