40mins to the beautiful Algonquin park & steps to gorgeous walking/snowshoe trails through a forest situated behind the property. This rustic bunkie is the perfect place to get away. There is electricity but no running water (thus no indoor bathroom/kitchen), an outhouse is located behind the bunkie. You also have access to an outdoor hot tub.
In the summer there is an outdoor shower, there are no bathing facilities in the winter.
There is NO HUNTING permitted while staying here.
Nestled on a spacious property in the beautiful Hastings Highlands, the owners live on site in the main house. It's minutes from the quaint town of Maynooth, and about 30 minutes to Bancroft. This rustic bunkie features a bunk bed in the bedroom with a double bed on the bottom and single on top, and a double bed and single bed in the main room. Extra mattresses (a double and a single) are available as well.
Equipped with electricity, t.v.s in both rooms, and dvd players are located in both rooms, and a small DVD collection and game collection is available.
There is no running water in the bunkie, for meals there is a toaster oven, microwave, mini fridge and kettle inside the bunkie, and a BBQ and outdoor portable firepit outside.
Wifi available upon request at no additional fee (heavy downloading not permitted).
While there is no running water, there is cute outhouse located a short walk away and bottled water and a pitcher and bowl are in the bunkie. There is an outdoor “camp shower” in the summer months.
Space heaters for both rooms are included for chilly nights. The bunkie stays nice and cool in the summer, but this means the floors get quite chilly in the winter. Rugs are provided but we recommend socks or slippers.
There are excellent walking paths through the private forest situated behind the property.
This place is an excellent getaway for a couple, family, or friends looking to get away from the city. Arrangements can be made for people travelling with young children (and there is an extra mattress for the floor if anyone is travelling with a or infants (including a bassinet that is available at no extra cost, or an additional mattress for the floor) Please contact us with any questions. Due to the forest in the back and fire bans, Fires are not permitted on this property during the day or during certain times of year (drought conditions.) There is an outdoor, portable firepit for use when the ban is not in effect.

Base Price + $7 additional fee for each guest after 2 people. If your group is staying more than 1 night message us before booking and we'll offer a reduction on the extra fee after the first night.
CHILDREN UNDER 15 ARE NO EXTRA COST, please let us know via message if you're bringing children, but do not include them in your booking for how many guests are coming. Children must be accompanied by someone over the age of 18.
Pets considered if they will not be left alone.

Guests will have full access to the bunkie, outhouse, hot tub, and outside property, feel free to explore the beautiful paths in the forest. In the summer there is also an outdoor shower. There is a portable fire pit for use (fire bans are in effect during certain seasons and times) but you need to provide your own wood.
Interaction with guests
Owners are typically available at the main house (which is close to the bunkie) during your stay, and accessible via cell phone as well.
Other things to note
While the lane is ploughed in the winter, the property is on top of a hill.
There is no additional cost for children under the age of 15. If you are bringing an infant we have a bassinet you can use, please let us know in a message when you book (There is no additional fee). Pets considered as long as you will not be leaving them alone- please message us.
