Fall Season.
Please note: This is a basic cottage (22ftx12ft +8ftx8ft bathroom) for use in the summer and fall. There is a shower and bathtub, washbasin, kitchenette with a stove, and full size fridge. There is also Internet and satellite TV, but the toilet is outside and separate called an "outhouse", therefore it is not suitable for those that cannot deal with an outhouse.

The space

The cottage is very clean and cozy. 10 miles of trails, open fields, forest, river, peace and quiet. This basic cottage is good for couples, or solo adventurers. Very close to the Trans Canada Trail. Large deck for morning coffee and a fire pit area for cookouts, or looking at the stars. Canoe , fish or swim in the river. Bring your atv, bicycle, bow, target rifle etc I Km from the village and 2 Km from the very large Crowe Lake.

Guest access

All of the property, the trails, the canoe and the campfire sites. Go for a long walk in the trails, and experience nature.

Interaction with guests

Please ask us about local sites of interest, such as the Marmora Mine, O'Haras Mill, Wetland Trail, and about the other towns nearby.
Of course if you have any issues whatsoever with the cabin let us know right away and we will do our best to make it right.

Other things to note

As noted before the baby cottage does have an outside toilet and therefore is not suitable for anyone that requires an indoor flushing toilet. There is a boxed pail in the bathroom with a toilet seat in case of whatever.

My GF and I had a very nice romantic getaway. No bugs, beautiful scenery.

Great little place, comfortable, very close to the river with great fishing (lots of perch and pikes). The cottage is simple but has everything you need for indoor cooking, a comfy bed, as well as a TV and WIFI, and a BBQ and fire pit outside. You also have access to a motor less boat, a canoe and a paddle boat, which is great to go fishing or explore the river. Very nice and huge property, very welcoming hosts, easy to communicate with and extremely helpful! Would totally recommend! Thanks!

The cabin was adorable! My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Michal and Tracy were very helpful host and where able to assist us when needed. The cabin was private and the location was beautiful, we had access to a canoe and enjoyed fishing on the property! The only thing I would mention is be prepared for bugs!! Bugs everywhere.. But other then that it was a wonderful stay.

Response from Michael:
This year has been particularly bad for black flies and mosquitoes because of the very wet spring. It seems the mosquitoes and black flies have diminished now that the summer is over. We look forward to a beautiful, gorgeous, colourful, bugless fall.

There is not enough I can say to describe the perfection of my experience at Michael and Tracy's Baby cabin with my boyfriend. Firstly, Michael and Tracy are extremely welcoming and communicative. They always replied within minutes and made sure we were completely comfortable and that we had everything we could possibly need. It was a perfect mixture of solitude and company. The cabin was stocked with so many supplies that I wish I had packed lighter! There are all the kitchen utensils and dishes you could possibly need, paper towel, kleenex, lighters, clean towels and bedding, soap/shampoo/conditioner, FOOD IN THE FRIDGE, coffee, tea, and so much more! We were greeted promptly and shown around the cabin (which was pristine and adorably decorated) upon our arrival. The property is beyond mesmerizing with gorgeous trails and lovely access to the river along with access to canoes and life jackets. The fire pit is awesome and surrounded with benches and we were even supplied with firewood. In fact, there was already a perfect stack of wood and kindling set up in the fire pit for us when we arrived. For this time of year I would totally recommend some bug netting, spray, and long clothes as the bugs are pretty abundant and could potentially interfere with your enjoyment of this treasure of a property. The cabin is so incredibly cozy. It is so rustic and authentic all while being equipped with satellite and WiFi. So comfortable! Really didn't want to leave. All in all, it was a wonderful stay for incredible value and I really hope to return soon! Thank you so much again Michael and Tracy!

I loved the cabin the moment I stepped inside. It's spotlessly clean and doesn't smell like chemical cleaning agents. The cabin amenities are ingenious and the cabin itself is solid, aesthetically lovely, and completely sealed off from critters. The bed was extremely comfortable. Michael and Tracy are a warm and fascinating couple. I so enjoyed meeting them.

This place was delightful. My partner and I had a fantastic two nights. Wild turkeys and groundhogs were seen! Hosts were communicative, location was gorgeous, and all the creature comforts were available (minus the toilet - but it is a tiny sacrifice to make). With a natural summer environment like this one, however, bugs are to be expected. Not much of a problem inside of the cabin, but if you plan on going hiking, prepare for a mosquito bombardment. Multiple long layers and bug spray are a must!

My partner and I had such a lovely stay! The cottage was small, quiet, secluded and with all your basic necessities. Just what we were looking for. We really appreciated the little extras such as basic breakfast items, coffee/tea, firewood and use of the canoe. Michael and Tracy were great with communication. Leaving us with lots of quiet and privacy, but if we needed anything they were always a phone call or text away. We also loved Millie!!! The adorable and friendly groundhog who lives at the end of the porch. :)
