This is a clean, comfortable and cheerful apartment located in the heart of the old town area of Cediz, a short walk from a
quiet beach, which appeared to be mostly populated by locals.
Jose left his ice cream shop to meet us at the door, and led us up the short flights of stairs to the tidy apartment, outfitted comfortably with many modern amenities. Along with fresh towels, some condiments and refreshments, Jose provided interesting information about the neighborhood.
We enjoyed walking the narrow cobblestone alleyways, investigating the many tiny shops and bars, the large open market (Mercado Central), and listening to the cacophony of old neighborhood sounds; seagulls, motorbikes, shouts of children, church bells, dogis, greetings and gossip.
Around the corner are many bars and restaurants (including the very charming and historic bar - Manteca, for a taste of the old life surrounded by ancient bull fighting memorabilia).
We enjoyed our stay here, and hope to stay here again, the next time we visit lovely Cediz.
