Rebecca's cabin is perfectly located on a private sandy beach, about an hour and a half drive from Toronto. The location is perfect for anyone wanting an easy beach access away from the crowds.
The area is quite scenic, and we would have enjoyed our stay to the fullest if not the weather that was unseasonably cold. That said, it was nice to have a large would burning fireplace at our disposal.
A central air conditioner is present, which would have been a great plus if the weather was hot.
For a large cottage right on the beach, the value was fair.
The house has a rustic feel, and the views from the deck are great.
Rebecca and Jason were most accommodating, and helped with tips about the area.
On the negative side, I would say that while the cabin technically can accommodate 12 people, privacy for 8 of those 12 is not great. The house has a full bedroom in the basement, and another one on the main level. The rest are bunk beds arranged in 4 smaller stalls in the living. They all have locking doors, but the walls do not go all the way to the ceiling, so soundproofing is essentially absent.
Poison ivy was not a problem for us, although it is present around the property.
I would recommend keeping the sliding glass deck door closed at night, because of the animals in the area. We have left it open once, and a raccoon found its way in through the anti mosquito net.
The dishwasher was not working during our week stay, and could not be fixed.
With those minor caveats, I would still recommend the property wholeheartedly.
