This centrally located heritage home was built in 1892 and extensively updated over the past few years. Maintained character with 11 foot ceilings and original mouldings while offering modern luxury in fully redone kitchen and bathrooms. Stunning Narrows views. Found only a 10 minute walk to downtown St. John's with world class restaurants, the famous George Street, and urban Newfoundland charm. Steps away from Fish and Chip Alley and Coleman's grocery store. Off street parking.
This heritage home maintains it's full original charm from the 1890s while having received a recent modernization through extensive renovations. It is a spacious home including two large bedrooms (1 king bed, 1 queen bed), an office, two full bathrooms, a living room (including a pull out sofa and another comfy couch), a full dining room, and a large kitchen. There is also a large fenced-in backyard with a deck and barbecue as well as a fire pit with rustic seating crafted from salvaged tree trunks. Off street parking includes space for two vehicles and non-permit street parking is also available immediately in front of the house.
Other things to note
We do not have house pets but we do enjoy raising backyard chickens as a supply of local, free range eggs. We do not expect visitors to care for the chickens in any way (they live happily year round in their own home in a corner of our yard) but we do welcome anyone staying in our home to collect fresh eggs for their breakfast as desired.
No smoking and no pets please. If you smoke outside on the deck, please collect and dispose of your butts.
