Set on a quiet country lane in the fabulous Wye Valley where you'll find nature on the doorstep. Our stone-built private annexe is ideal for 2 with kitchen/dining/living area and double bedroom/ensuite shower. Extensive gardens with picturesque stream. 10 minutes from Monmouth 20 minutes from Chepstow.

The space

Our newly renovated cosy getaway is perfect for 2 people looking for a short or long break, fab for exploring the Wye Valley and convenient if attending local functions or visiting friends/family. Singles, couples, friends and families all welcome and we do have an additional double bed settee in the lounge/diner/kitchen and 2 chair beds in the bedroom. A simple breakfast is provided in the annexe and includes milk, cereal, bread & jams/marmalades. Tea and coffee supplies also provided. Mobile reception is patchy, there is a landline in the house should you need it. Wi-fi isn't available yet!

Guest access

There's off road parking and a secure place to store bikes if you wish. There is a large garden area which will be for your sole use (quite uneven underfoot) with outdoor seating for you to just relax and enjoy the surroundings with a cuppa or your favourite tipple!

Interaction with guests

We live at the property so will usually be around to welcome you but after that we do tend to leave guests to themselves. Equally very happy to be on hand for questions about the place or advice on things to do etc.

Other things to note

The washing machine and tumble dryer are in a locked workshop adjoining the annexe but we will happily let you have a key so you can use them whenever you want.

We had a lovely weekend staying in Whitebrook and exploring the Wye Valley. Tina and Nick were very welcoming and provided bread, milk and cereal as well as tea and coffee which was perfect for breakfast. The place was clean and tidy, with a lovely bedroom above the kitchen and living area. Many thanks for a wonderful weekend!

We had a wonderful stay with Nick and Tina in the Wye Valley. The annex had everything we could need for a self contained beak away and it was so peaceful. Perfect for walking out of the front door and exploring by foot, also helpful that Monmouth was just a 15 minute drive. Nick and Tina were fantastic hosts and went above and beyond to help our stay be perfect. Lovely shower and comfy bed too! Just wish we lived closer so we could return sooner! Will defiantly try to factor in another visit in the future ❤

This annex was absolutely perfect for my partner and I while we were exploring the Forest of Dean and canoeing on the River Wye. It has a great location, surrounded by serene woodland waiting to be explored and travelled, and yet isn't so far off the beaten track that you feel to isolated (it's cut off from the outside world in a good way!). Tina and Nick were superb and so friendly and welcoming, we felt comfortable and at home straight away. The annex was clean and cosy and had everything we needed - a comfortable bed, a well prepared kitchen, with a clean bathroom and hot shower as well as snug living area. Couldn't fault it!

What a terrific place... spacious, light, well equiped, a very comfortable bed and with a fantastic shower. (On the photos shown on the website the apartment looks smaller and darker than it really is.) A beautiful hideway with the sound of the little stream that makes you feel calm and relaxed the moment you get out of the car. You can sit in various places around the house or take a nice forestwalk. If you want to go out to eat you need to drive at least 10-15 minutes, but we didn't mind since the surroundings are gorgeous. The Anchor Inn is a great place, good food... but for us especially the views on Tintern Abbey is what makes the place special. We didn't meet Nick, but Tina is a fantastic host, very communicative, easy going and a lot of fun. She feels it's not just about doing business, but about the "experience", and what a great experience we had ***** Next time when we go to Wales, we will definitely come back.
