Sofia is an absolutely amazing host! She's full of great information and more than happy to help. The location is also quite central and within walking distance to some of the main landmarks. Unfortunately, our stay wasn't comfortable. We struggled with the bed and couch. The hot water is very limited - the boiler only has enough water for a few minutes shower, and although Sofia let us know this at check in it was a struggle. Also, the apartment is more compact than it appears in the photos. The bathroom is very small and a tall person will have trouble.

Response from Sofia:
Hi Lauren, Thank you for the compliment regarding myself as a host :-) So sorry to hear your stay was uncomfortable. Regarding the bed and the sofa, until your comment all my other guests actually say the bed is very comfortable. The matress was carefully picked out 1 year ago taking into account extra comfort for guests. Also all guests say that the pictures portray the reality of the apartment, I'm sorry if this was not your case. Regarding the boiler, it is a new boiler that suits pefectly for 2 people to have a shower one after the other, at check-in I did not say the boiler was an issue what I said is that the boiler is not very big so you have to use it efficiently, that's why I suggested that you don't put the water at full pressure ( as the water pressure is very high). In any case thaks for the feedback there is always space to Improve :-) All the best for you both in the future!

Sofia was a great host and very communicative. Unfortunately, there was no hot water for showering the entire time we were there. Sofia attempted to fix the problem promptly, but we still had cold showers! It is in a residential neighborhood and conveniently located to major neighborhoods and sites - but be prepared for many stairs! Very residential area which is nice, but not a whole lot going on. Thin walls/doors so there is some noise from upstairs and front door.

Sofia was lovely, warm and welcoming and helpful! The place was just as described, a great central location and a quiet corner. The bathroom is tiny, but has everything you need.

We really had a nice time at Sophia's place and communication with her was really easy. She gave us good advice about how to visit the city and the place was clean and friendly.

Sofia's apartment is wonderfully located on a quiet side-street in an otherwise very popular area of central Lisbon. It is a short walk from both the castle and main pedestrian mall of downtown Lisbon - all the major tourist attractions are within easy walking distance. The apartment is light, airy, and comfortable.

A very charming and cleverly designed, small flat in a fantastic, very central location in a lively and trendy area full of history and character. At night, the flat is super quiet and the temperatures are surprisingly fresh even after those very hot July days. Communication with Sofia and Duxa was prompt and easy and they did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible - they even picked us up from the train station. Warmly recommend this place!

I am the mother of 2 children and I love to travel, basically because I lived most of my childhood abroad. I honestly appreciate the oppportunity to meet new people and listen to their stories.
Due to my childhood I am bi-lingual, so I speak english and portuguese as a native. So, after working for big corporations,I decided to invest in a project that would bring me a better work - life balance so I can appreciate more time with my children and husband.
