This apartment, part of a Grade II listed building, has been fully refurbished with a new kitchen and bathrooms. The owner has made efforts to retain much of the character of this historic building, incorporating original features such as wood panelling, window seats and exposed beams. A wood burner has been fitted into the lovely old fireplace in the lounge and the furnishings and decor reflect a homely and relaxed approach to the holiday experience.
If you are looking for a minimalistic clean lined space then this property is not for you but if you want a holiday to remember with beautiful decor , stunning views , where you can either snuggle up in front of the log fire with a good book and a glass of wine or spend some time exploring Lyme and it's wonderful places to eat or spending a day on the fantastic beach with the children , then this property is perfect.
As well as a wonderful space this property is all about location.
You are in amongst everything going on in Lyme which is a jazzy , vibrant , arty town.
The property sits directly opposite the beautiful, iconic Guildhall Hall and the wonderful museum. You can see these beautiful buildings from your window and of course the very special jurassic Coast can also be seen or you can just sit gazing out of the window and watch the town go from sleepy and tranquil to vibrant and exciting.
I would highly recommend getting up a little early one day and take a 2 min walk to the beach. This view especially in the early mornings is breathtaking. Lyme Regis is by no means commercial and it is not your typical seaside resort. It remains quaint and most people will tell you that Lyme Regis is a very special little place which is why people come back time and time again and it remains one of the top 5 most searched for places in the U.K. !!
Self-contained apartment arranged over two floors – ground floor entrance door with stairs to first floor. First floor: Kitchen/dining room with view to sea – gas hob & large oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. Lounge/sitting room with view to sea – TV/DVD and large wood burner. Bedroom 1 with double bed. Shower room with shower cubicle and w.c. Second floor: Bedroom 2 with twin beds. Bathroom with bath and w.c. Bedroom 3 with twin beds. Bedroom 4 with double bed and en suite shower room, shower cubicle, w.c. Utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside: Small paved courtyard with small table and chairs (next to entrance door – shared access with neighbouring properties).
Facilities and services -
Central heating included. Logs for wood burner not provided – can be purchased locally. Bed linen included and we will supply bath / hand towels. Bring your own beach towels. Space for additional infant – travel cot, highchair and stair gate provided. Wireless internet access included.
We will happily provide all our guests with some basic essentials like tea, coffee , oil , s&up , toilet roll , tea towels etc.
Local shops very close for groceries etc and
You can purchase most things you may need locally or there are bigger supermarkets in Aximinster or Seaton which is about a 10 min drive away ( different directions)
Where the property is located you are lucky enough to be 2 mins away from the very helpful and knowledgeable tourist information office which will be able to advise you on things to do , where to go and what's on locally. They will also be able to tell you and of any up coming events at the marine theatre and elsewhere in Lyme
You will be able to park up and spend your time walking without worrying about not being able to have a drink as all local restaurants, pubs and theatres are all just there.
Interaction with guests
We want you to enjoy your stay and most of all feel relaxed.
A few days before your arrival we will contact you with a key code so you will be able to access the property.
We are happy to see you in and we also are happy for you to go in on your own and of course we are only a phone call away if you need us for anything !!
Other things to note
Allocated off-road parking for one car only, approximately 200m distant off Poole’s Court. Additional public parking available nearby – 3-day and weekly tickets available. Shops, pubs and beach within a minute’s walk.
A £100 refundable security deposit to secure booking and cover breakages will be required at the time of booking
Arrival 4.00pm – departure 10.00am.

Hi, I'm Heidi and I am the manager for both these wonderful properties. I live in the village which enables me to be able to help ,advice and give good local information about Uplyme, Lyme Regis and the surrounding area.
Lucy is the valley lodge owner and has other holiday properties in the u.k.
Valley lodge is a very special little place and I am not surprised by its success. It is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and inside the cabin it is cosy and beautifully decorated. This is why many guests return time and time again and the reviews are fantastic.
I also manage the spacious town house in Lyme Regis for Guy who is a music teacher. This property is also gorgeous and is all about location.
Both properties are very different but they are both very special in their own way. I am extremely proud of them both and I totally believe in their ability to give couples , family and friends the most fantastic holiday accommodation. As you will see I have taken on more properties over time and I now host other homes for their owners through Airbnb that are all unique and wonderful.
I feel extremely lucky to be able to be a part of peoples holidays and I hope I have given you all the chance to make some wonderful memories by staying in one of my properties.
