We welcome you to join us in our country home. Built in 2013 with the help of many friends and family our classic post and beam house sits on 7 acres, 1/2 a mile up a dirt road and 5 minutes from the center of the little town of Otis, MA.

During your stay, you will have our lower level with a private bedroom, bathroom and common space with a pull-out queen couch, 55" TV and play area. You are welcome to share the main floor, including kitchen/fridge.

Kid-friendly pets are also welcome.

The space

Our house is primarily on three floors. Our bedrooms and bathroom are on the third floor. The main floor is an open cathedral ceiling with full kitchen, living room with wood stove, dinning room, sun/play room and half bath. You will have the lower level almost exclusively.

Guest access

You are welcome to share the main floor with us and we will accommodate items in the fridge. We enjoy cooking together and have a well stocked kitchen you can use. Surrounded by trees you can sit on the deck, soak in our 4 person outside hot tub or relax in your space.

Interaction with guests

We look forward to meeting you and sharing our home.

We enjoyed our stay in Alexcia and Paul's beautiful cabin-like home. The basement floor apartment was spacious, clean and perfect for our family. My grandsons were thrilled to have toys to play with, and were welcomed enthusiastically by their son. We are grateful for their hospitality and thoughtfulness. They offered a delicious breakfast with local organic options and excellent coffee. They even met us later to return my grandson's treasured yoyo.

Alexcia and her family were very welcoming hosts; we enjoyed every bit of our stay. This location is perfect for all seasons, secluded enough in the Otis forest, but right off a little town with few services including a pizza restaurant and a small ski slope. Being a few minutes from the Pike meant also a very short drive to must-see towns of Stockbridge, Lee and Lenox, and larger ski resorts. Their newly built home is beautiful and warm. The hosts took care of every detail, from a hair dryer and all toiletries in the bathroom, to free use of their snow shoes. They shared their home-made breakfast and goodies, books and games, and gave us very useful local info. The house in on a hill, which is not too steep, but under the right conditions might be tricky to access with a rental car in winter. We had an Altima (intermediate) and arrived with a little drizzle on 20s temperatures. The front-wheel car hesitated up the narrow street and slid right onto the snow bank, just 200 yards from the house. Glad that we were not going fast, so we didn't make it down to the creek right below , and very glad that Alexcia and a neighbor on a truck helped us out with shovel and salt. Also to note, phone signal is iffy in this forest area, TMobil had zero reception at the house, and many pockets in the 5 minute ratio. AT&T did a little better. For your GPS and calls this might be an issue, in the cabin the hosts have very good Wifi.

it's a wonderful experience to stay. the house is in the woods where you can have beavers in some days, told by the host. it's a pity they moved away when we were there. the house is new and beautiful. it seems that every piece of decration in the house has its story. Alexcia is so nice to explain and answer every question. she was not home so Paul hosted us. he is also nice and showed us around the house. he made breakfast for us and we had a lot of chat. we can use the whole basement exclusively so we had a lot of privacy.

Lovely stay for a relaxing weekend getaway! Gorgeous house on beautiful grounds. Definitely take advantage of taking a dip in the hot tub. The stargazing is top notch! Alexcia made us a delicious breakfast. Yummy apple sauce! They put a lot of thought in meeting their guests' needs including putting out tolietries we might've forgotten to pack.

Serene location, beautiful home, and good company. My husband and I enjoyed our stay with Alexcia and her family. We were welcomed into her home as if we were old friends. We were given privacy, but also invited to share in family activities. In the morning we had a fantastic breakfast. Overall a great stay and highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet place to relax.

We arrived in the evening . The hosts welcomed us into their home. It was very comfortable with a fire going. We talked for awhile before heading to our area to get ready for bed as it had been a long day. I had twisted my ankle before we arrived and they were very helpful with this. We slept great and left early so I could get my ankle looked at.
