Breathtaking views, mountain air, a peaceful get-away. Stupendous in the summer, stupendous in the winter. Relax in our home, it's a great place for families.
The apartment has a cosy, clean and spacious interior, with a large sun-soaked balcony and spectacular views of the Alps. It has three large bedrooms: one with a king-sized bed, one with two single beds, and a third bedroom with a single bed and a bunk bed. The kitchen is well-equipped, including a dishwasher, and conveniently connected to the large dining area through a sliding window. The apartment has two bathrooms, one of which with shower and bathtub.
The apartment is ideal for skiers and hikers due to its unique location adjacent to the ski piste – it’s possible to ski directly into the garden, and to ski down to the cable car and trains that take you up the mountains. You can store your skis in a specially-designed room in the basement. The apartment is reachable on foot, approximately ten minutes’ walk uphill from the train station in the centre.
The apartment is very well suited for children; we have lots of board games, and upon request can provide a crib for infants up to 18 months (though we ask you to bring your own baby sheets for it). We kindly request that you include the number of children in the total number of guests (with no need to count infants).
The apartment has been our family holiday home for 40 years; we would love to share our enthusiasm for this beautiful area with you!
We kindly ask that you leave your shoes at the door. We also provide slippers but you may prefer to use your own.
Upon arrival you'll find all the bedsheets and towels you need, though you will need to put the bedsheets on the beds yourselves.
When leaving: kindly take off all bedsheets and towels and place in a single pile in the apartment. Please remember to remove all perishable foods, as well as wash the dishes. Rubbish should be thrown in the bins near the chalet (found by walking downhill to the first crossing in the road). Please note that only taxed rubbish bags, which we provide, should be used.
We ask that you smoke on the balcony, and not inside the house. No pets are allowed unfortunately.
Check-out is at 10am and check-in is at 3pm. We can accommodate your belongings if you wish to arrive/leave outside normal hours.
During your stay you will be on your own at the apartment and so completely free to come and go as you like, but there’s usually a caretaker if anything should happen. We offer sheets and cleaning as part of the service (see house rules).
I live simply and enjoy reading and films in addition to the hiking and skiing. I travel by bicycle when possible. I am a researcher in solar cells and the environment is my passion.
Since I have lived in so many countries, I have met people from many cultures. I hope to continue to do so! For contact purposes, my languages are English, German, Italian, Swedish and French.
Ich bin sehr internationell, 5 sprachig, aber trotzdem reise ich eher selten. Ich bin ursprunglich Amerikanerin, bin aber in Zürich geboren. Ich habe auch in Italien und Schweden gewohnt.
