Our family - 2 adults and 2 young children - spent 3 good weeks in Lorenzo's apartment. Lorenzo was a gracious host and answered all our questions beforehand. He met us on arrival even though we arrived late (midnight) and provided us tips and suggestions of what to do in the area.
The apartment consists of an open plan living and kitchen area, a small shower room with WC, and 2 seperate bedrooms.
The "kids" bedroom has 2 single beds. The other bedroom has a double sofa bed which is comfortable enough.
The living room area has another sofa bed if needed.
The kitchen has a fridgefreezer, oven and hob, the necessary pots and pans plus an italian coffee maker which you use on the hob.
The apartment itself doesn't have wifi though Vila Ridente does have free wifi though dont expect to do more than checking emails and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN).
Then we come to the terrace. The photos on this listing give an idea of the view awaiting you in this apartment however in reality it is even more breathtaking. It is an uninterrupted view of sea and the majestic Aeolian islands standing offshore. The sunrise in particular is spectacular.
The Vila Ridente complex is pretty and well maintained. It is on a hillside so if you have mobility issues beware. There is a shuttle that runs from reception up to the apartment if you are feeling lazy though we did not use it once, choosing instead to walk off the copious amounts of pasta, pizza and ice cream we consumed.
There are a couple of restaurants, a couple of bars and a more lively club/bar down by the beach every evening till ~0100 - We didn't try the club.
We did try the mini club which the kids enjoyed, and they loved the mini-disco each night ~(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (mum and dad less even if I still cannot get a couple of the songs out of my head ;-)
A very relaxing place to stay. This is about unwinding and getting away from things.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Lorenzo and this apartment.
