This charming airy home is located in the trendy North Boulder Holiday area. Hardwood floors downstairs reflect light that pours in through large windows on all sides of an open plan where you'll find a large well-equipped kitchen, a powder room, two living rooms and a library.
Upstairs are 3 bedrooms with vaulted ceilings. Large windows offer mountain views north and south. The master bedroom suite has walk in shower and walk in closet; an indoor jacuzzi, 2 sinks and a separate toilet.
Families with children of any age will love this sunny clean home—as will couples.
Areas of the house are painted in bright Caribbean colors that thrill the eye in the bright summer days. During long cold winter nights the colors radiate warmth and intimacy. There's plenty of storage all over the house. The garage has been converted into a studio—light pours in via the glass doors
and a window facing west.
The entire house is filled with art by various artists.
You’ll find a sweet little garden and patio at the back; across the alley, you’ll have access to another communal garden with its picnic table under a pagoda.
There’s a porch at the front facing a large park with a children’s playground.
The area is more urban than suburban. People walk and bike around. There's little traffic and plenty of parking. Hiking and biking trails are 5 minutes away, as are various restaurants, cafes, bike shop, framer with a gallery and much more.
Skies render this part of Boulder especially magical.
Access to public transit is 4 to 5 minute walk.
Guests have access to entire house but access to garage will be limited as that is where I store my belongings. I ask that you respect my privacy.
Interaction with guests
Can refer you to a co host if needed
Other things to note
Quieter hours: 11 am- 8 am: please respect the neighbours. Our houses are very close together so it's even more important to consider each other's need for space and privacy.
Please observe quiet hours from 11pm to 8 am.
Do not wear shoes in the house.
Please do not drag heavy suitcases or furniture across these vulnerable hardwood floors—they are finished with water based products so not protected with varnish. Do not leave coolers on these floors—coolers should be emptied of ice and water and kept outside the house or in garage.
Be sure to check you have locked screen door and turned off gas whenever you leave.
Children must not be allowed to draw on walls or closets with markers or ink of any kind.
I am an artist, writer, entrepreneur and psychotherapist. I love to travel in Europe, Africa, Caribbean and hope to go to Brazil, India Thailand, China and Japan. Diversity of this world enchants me. The arts are my purpose.
Born in Paris, I was raised in Scotland and have lived in England, Jamaica, & France as well as all over USA. New York and Paris feel like home.
I speak French and read Spanish.
Open minded, friendly and ready to talk, I also guard my privacy. I am a welcoming hospitable host and not necessarily available even if present. When I rent the whole house, I am absent.
People are a value. Art is a value as you’ll see from the artworks on display. I made a few but most are by other artists—friends and unknown persons from afar.
My 2 adult children are of mixed descent: Jamaican-Chinese and British.
Life shrinks or expands according to one's courage.
There's nothing to fear but fear itself.
I cannot live without love, family, friends, art, culture, travel, water, animals and nature in its exquisite manifestations.
