Blackwood Ridge is a private and tranquil oasis in the heart of the Nelson wine district enjoying spectacular sea and mountain views. It offers luxurious accommodation for couples/families or groups with 5 double bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms (2 ensuite). 2 large entertaining spaces and fully equipped kitchen.
Outside there are large terraces, a hot-tub and heated swimming pool (seasonal). Tasman Taste Trail, spectacular beaches, award winning restaurants and wineries are all within a 5 minute drive.
Blackwood Ridge enjoys panoramic views in practically every direction from the Kahurangi Mountains in the West to D'Urville Island and and Tasman Bay in the East. Located close to restaurants, beaches, wineries, galleries, Abel Tasman and the Tasman Great Taste Trail the grounds extend for 2.8ha (7 acres) affording the property exceptional privacy and tranquility. The rooms are spacious and well equiped with quality furnishings. With ample terraces, heated swimming pool and hot-tub there is room to spread and relax. The house can be configured as a 1, 4 or 5 bedroom home but is always for your exclusive use.
The entire house, garden and grounds are available to our guests with the exception of the garages, wine cellar & store room.
***Please note that bookings for 2 people will exclude access to the 4 smaller bedrooms and 2 of the bathrooms. Bookings of less than 9 will exclude the upstairs bedroom.

We are available to our guests but will respect your privacy.
Other things to note
We have worked in hospitality in the Tasman region for 15 years and are happy to make arrangements/bookings or offer advice. Some services available by prior arrangement include - Airport transfers, Bike hire, Private Tours, In-house dining/catering.
- Please respect our property as if it were your own.
- Pets by arrangement - owners please clear up after your pets.
- Smoking is not permitted inside, outside is fine but please use ashtrays.
- Children under 12 years of age must be supervised at all times in the pool area and around the pond. (The pond is not suitable for swimming)
My husband Pete and I have lived and worked in the local hospitality & wine industry for the past 15 years. We have a passion for the Nelson region and take great pleasure in sharing our knowledge with our guests.
