A delightfully cosy but spacious miner's Cottage, for 2 people, on the north coast of Cornwall. Little Cottage is ideal for couples wanting to enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer, then unwind after a day spent in the wilds. Log burner, south facing lawn garden, patio for breakfast or BBQ's & off-road parking. Little Cottage is in a semi-rural location, close to the shops of Saint Agnes & beach, with cosy pubs and beautiful coastal walks all around. With fast WIFI and TV & DVD player.

The space

Characterful Little Cottage, is a miner's cottage dating back to 1850, is set back from the road with a south facing private garden in a traditional Cornish miners terrace. Inside are slate and wooden floors, a modern bathroom and kitchen with washing machine, fridge and electric oven with hob.

The lounge/diner is a space to eat, feel totally relaxed and share a glass of wine by the sound of a crackling fire (complimentary basket of logs provided). There is three seater sofa, TV and dining table with chairs. Upstairs is a light and peaceful double bedroom with kingsize bed and space to stow away luggage and clothes. The bathroom has a bath (with electric power shower) perfect to soak in after a day walking or surfing.

Dotted around the interior are beautiful shells and pretty pebbles to make you feel connected to the outdoors. On arrival you will welcomed by a small Little Cottage care package of tasty local treats from the St Agnes area. Complimentary tea and coffee, also pantry essentials, like muesli/porridge are provided for your stay. The simplest and purest of things in a magical setting!

Little Cottage is situated on outskirts of St Agnes, but is walking distance from the stunning coastline and the surf beach at Trevaunance Cove (20-25mins walk/5 minute drive). It is possible to take a less hilly cross country route to the beach too! The quaint boutique shops, restaurants and pubs of St Agnes are closer.

St Agnes is a buzz of activity all year round, with events including the St Agnes Carnival, RNLI day in August, Fireworks on 5th November and the annual Easter dog-race.

Little Cottage is in the perfect location to enable you to explore the famous Cornish destinations of Newquay (12 miles), St Ives (20 miles), Falmouth (15 miles), Penzance and Padstow, to name a few.

Access to the whole house, private garden, outdoor dining area, and private parking. Kitchen, bath, shower, living room and informal dining area inside.

Saint Agnes sits in both a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and UNESCO World Heritage Site. With a thriving local community, independent shops, world class pubs and restaurants.

The South West Coastal Path is famous for spectacular coastline walks and Cornish engine houses, featured in Poldark.

Surfboard hire, surf lessons, SUP's and Kayak tours can all be arranged at the local beach.
The Driftwood Spars, located in the cove, is an amazing pub with three cosy bars, award winning ales and ciders.
Schooner's Bistro, on the beach, has the best views of any venue in Cornwall.

The most delicious coffee is served at the Sorting Office coffeehouse in the village. While the Miner's Arms offers traditional pub food in an old world of comfort.

There is plenty to enjoy in St Agnes and beyond.

Cornwall's beauty lies in the sense of a time past. Do not believe, though, that it is tiresome to reach. With the A30 now dual carriageway nearly all the way to Penzance, car journey times are now much shortened. London - Little Cottage has been done in 4 hours and 25 minutes, but a good run (leaving London before the morning rush hour) will not take much more than 5 hours.

If you prefer to fly, Newquay now takes flights from many regional airports and we are but 20 minutes from Newquay Airport by taxi or hire car. London to Newquay from Gatwick or Stanstead takes aprox 1 hour.

Trains from London (First Great Western) direct to Truro can take as little as 4 hours 15 minutes. Truro is 8 miles (20 minutes) from Little Cottage. The bus from Truro/Perranporth/Newquay stops at the top of the road and is a 2 minute walk to the cottage.

St Ives is a 30 minute drive from Little Cottage. The local beach is a 5 minute drive or 25 minutes walk. It is possible to take a less hilly cross country route to the beach too!

Very good base for touring Cornwall, everything is within about an hour. Cottage was comfortable and cosy, and contained everything thing you would need. Perfect for a couple. Of road parking is always a plus.

Nice little holiday let. Space for travel cot in the bedroom. Nice welcome basket. Close to many lovely beaches and town (not all walkable with a baby as steep roads without pavements). Our stay was not entirely peaceful due to noise from the neighbours (building works/ extension going on next door in the adjoining cottage) which we did not know about and we felt unfair. No response re this from owner. Overall fairly clean.

We had a great time in the little cottage! It had all the home comforts you could ever need, including a BBQ that is honestly the easiest one I've ever used! All of the local sights and attractions are close if not walkable. Thanks for a great holiday

Sarah User ProfileSarah is a superhost.

We love long walks, surfing, open fires, star gazing, delicious sea food and a real ale or two. Saint Agnes couldn't be a better spot for all that. We hope you enjoy our new retreat, Little Cottage, as much as we do! This is our first year hosting. Sarah and Matthew.
