A beautiful family home with 5 bedrooms close to Bristol city, with great transport links to the M5 and Wales. The high cathedral ceilings and an abundance of light give a feeling of space. It is very comfortable and has all the amenities, including full kitchen, two sitting rooms, two full bathrooms and a huge log burner. There is also a large secluded garden, 14 ft trampoline, outdoor gym bars and private driveway parking for two vehicles. It equally suits couples and families (with kids).

The space

The house looks and feels a lot like a chalet...think lots of beautiful wood, large and plentiful windows, big spaces yet really cosy when the colder weather hits, especially when the large log burner is on! The property is secluded, accessed from a quiet cul de sac down a small private drive. There is parking for two cars on the driveway. The gardens are mature with lots of trees, bushes and plants, a large lawn and trampoline and gym bars (to be used at own risk). There are lots of birds, squirrels and the occasional fox running through the garden.

There are two sitting rooms, one downstairs and one on the mezzanine floor, so plenty of opportunity to find a space to sit around together and relax or find a quiet corner to read a book.

There is a full bathroom on both floors and also a further cloakroom downstairs.

The location of the property is in a quiet village setting (with local co-op, pubs, takeaways etc), but only 4 miles to Clifton Suspension Bridge and all the attractions of beautiful Bristol. The proximity of the M5 also opens up options of trips into the Mendips, Cotswolds, Wales, or to shop in Cribbs Causeway, the local large shopping mall.

Guest access

The property benefits from a large private garden, set to lawn and planted borders. There is a small balcony leading from the upstairs floor, overlooking the south facing garden. Set up the telescope for some star gazing or catch the moon as it rises on the horizon, over the fields beyond our garden.

Interaction with guests

I am happy to offer recommendations on dining, walks/hikes, mountain bike trails, activities for children, shopping etc etc. This area has a tremendous amount to offer and I am happy to provide local information so that you can make the most of your stay. During your visit I am likely to be away from the area but will put you in touch with a local friend who will be looking after the house and can offer any assistance that you may require. I will of course still be contactable also during your stay by phone and/or email.

Other things to note

This is our home so we would be grateful that you treat it like your home. This is not the right place for loud parties. Please take outdoor shoes off and wear indoor shoes or slippers to protect the new carpets and flooring.

Hi there I am a designer and out door enthusiast. Myself, my wife and children love to spend our weekends exploring the area by foot or mountain bike and are constantly finding new places even after ten years exploring.
